Does the seller select what they accept? Chargeback protection is definitely nice. Seems that losing eBay is hitting their bottom line..

The same chargeback protection they have been giving out for their 2.9% + .30 cut.

If you want lower fees you can just opt to waive a good chunk of your seller protection. For a $100 sale you pocket an extra 40 cents. 

They're trying to pass the scammers off on the seller. And they'll get a bunch of them to opt into this as 2.59% and 2.99% look like a huge difference, but it's pennies.
