needed less on pedestal/floor and more on the "egg"

it's such an iconic piece yet many wouldn't recognize it without the labeling

This is a 20 dollar convention set slapped onto 20 dollars worth of solid brick base. Very disappointing. 

I'm not a fan of LEGO trying to make every set a "collectible" or trying to justify itself to adults with such low self-esteem that they won't buy LEGOs unless it has adult M+ labeling.

I agree. That picture on the front of the box will not be helping to sell any of these.

A gray background would have gone a long ways to create some contrast to help sell it.  The whole thing just looks underwhelming.  The price point / part is ok, but that base is huge. 

Shame they didn't include a stretched-hexagon shaped screen with a huge image of the emperor on it.  I know no one likes stickers, but that would make the setting obvious.

I prefer my Kenner hybrid Meditation  chamber / Super Star Destroyer playset. Even if it does appear that Vader is overcompensating for his limp lightsaber.

Vader only meditates on the dark side.

Oh, cool, there is a screen.  It's the scene when Vader force chokes Admiral Ozzel after being informed by Gen. Veers of Ozzel's blunder in alerting the Rebels.

Looks pretty cool. I know many online are blasting it but I like it. Now about that MSRP, ugh.
