Apparently the at st had now been extended to the end of the year. Not sure if this has been mentioned or not here. Brickfanatics and MandRproductions have confirmed this and it seems plausible given the fact it keeps coming back at Lego.

It may have been planned this way the whole time for just Lego and Amazon to continue it. It seems this way in Europe anyway. I guess Australia just got an early retirement on it.

I can't help to think though that re sellers have really shot themselfs in the foot over this matter and recent sales and hype over the set have changed Lego's mind somewhat.

I think this is a real thing...where resellers hoarding has delayed retirement. DO many here believe this as well?

Worth some discussion. Is this type of thing limited to licensed themes such as SW (ie maximize profits to cover sunken costs)

will not bode well for Gingerbread house...

Brickfanatics and M&R haven't confirmed anything, they're just guessing like the rest of us

There not guessing, it's confirmed it's back. As others have mentioned it's been restocked at UK retailers. It's here to stay.

The many people hoping for quick money towards the end of the year may be greatly disappointed. Way too hoarded, nothing rare about it  and not even a great set to begin with.
