In the past, yes this has been the case. But be sure to screenshot your order page that shows the double points. I had to reach out to customer service to have them credited last time. 

 

Jane Austen GWP sold out.

My best benchmark for analyzing this set is Jules Vernes which sits at about $60 on amazon. 

In terms of the lego set merits, Vernes > Austen by a long shot.

However, is Jane Austen more culturally relevant than Jules Vernes among the Lego buying set?

Bleh. The 'May-the-Fourth' Kamino Training Facility promo had 190 pieces and 3 minifigs for a $160 buy-in.

Was honestly hoping for something a little more substantial for a $1000USD set. 

Fingers crossed there's at least one unique/special minifig... like another variant of a hot-tub stormtrooper?
