Many posted sales appear to be around 20% off. So if you believe GWPs will be over $50, then if makes sense to buy. Especially if there are additional points and rewards that can be combined along with the purchase.

That’s actually a great idea for a GWP.

They are turning out so many GWP's and re-releasing them so often that they really aren't the incentive they once were.  Great for an additional discount on a sale set that is retiring but that's about it.  Plus a have a bunch of GWP's that are not even searchable on Amazon 😡

@gmpirate Absolutely spot-on. Once eBay nabs their 14% cut and you're shelling out at least $8 for shipping, the charm of GWPs isn't what it used to be.

We've gotten pretty good at pegging eBay's going rates for these—Tier 1 GWPs hit around $65 at their peak, then mellow out to $45. Tier 2 dips from $45 to $30, and Tier 3 slides from $30 to $20. Strip away the sentimentality, and we can all agree on which tier they land in.

Personally, I'm in it for "keeps" now—if it's a Tier 2 I like, such as Majisto, it's mine. Flipping for profit, like with Galileo, isn't in my game plan anymore. Still, cashback offers can tempt me into picking up a Tier 2 or 3 I'm not keen on. No cashback, no deal. Another recent temptation has been the cheap rates of Ground Advantage, which save me about $5 on the regular.

But let's be real, holding onto a Tier 2 or 3 isn't a smart play long-term. They don't get much advertisement, so newcomers aren't even aware they exist—which tanks any extra profit you might make on Amazon. This lack of awareness is probably the biggest hurdle, no matter the tier.

@Captain_Obvious I like this tier system for the gwps. Makes me look at the box of older gwps in the corner and downgrading their tier every year I hold them.

Death Star, Gringott's Vault, Clone Wars Collectible (unicorn Tier 1 status), and maybe Celebration 100 (it did go to the 60's but has fallen fast since).

The Insiders Rewards and Activities pages will be under maintenance soon. From 11/7/2023 9:00 PM to 11/8/2023 3:00 AM EST you won't be able to access rewards, activities and your points history. You'll still be able to earn points though.

Would have been really sweet if Lego would have tied that tape player into the Stranger Things theme replicating the sony walkman wm-8 that Max used.  I imagine probably licensing hurdles that would complicate the situation.

Note that the 3-4× point promos start a day before the GWPs and Rewards sale. 11/17 vs 11/18.

Assembly square at 60.00 off is a good deal.  Kinda regretting buying that one last month during the 2xvip week.

where is the mini gwp castle that brick clicker was talking about ? guessing they are waiting till mid December after we have spent our fill to have us come back and buy again ? lol

It's tough to say what those GWP's will net on amazon.  I doubt the Winter Market Stall will be heavily collected. Tough to say about the castle theme set.  I bet between the two you might get a little over 50.00 after fees.  So, probably looking at around a 20% discount on a 250.00 purchase this weekend after you deduct selling the GWP's (along with the additional VIP points).

I called Lego to try to get clarification on how the codes would work and all they would say was check the email we sent you.  Which is a carbon copy of what the main page of the website looks like right now.
