Bricklink's AFOL Designer Program 2024

A Report by and on the site "Brick Fanatics" Talks of launching failed Ideas sets through BrickLink or an ADP second wave. Sounds like a survey going.  Didn't yet read too much into it. Sounds interesting to me for sure though.

I'm certain it will sell out, but there is a ton of window without a ton of architecture on the outside. image.png.a7aa712b107476bc41b9bc58b9786051.png

In a way, all the window panels remind of 597 Fifth Ave, NY,NY

Oh cool, 404 not found on Bricklink...

Got my orders in for Lego Store and Windmill.

couple glitches, but kept clicking and got my fill.

For some reason the limit was only allowing 1 in cart so had to do multiple transactions.

same...I am assuming 1 of each item per BL account

Lego Store and Venetian Houses ordered. I had luck going to that page as well, took a while for it to register me as logged in, though.

Very easy for me, maybe I got in early? Checked out with both LEGO Store and Bowling Alley together in cart.

Now I hand-wring on whether I should've gotten Venetian Houses.

Got order in for Lego Store... which seems to be in third right now lagging behind Windmill and Bowling.

Done. Thank God I got a new job starting in the New Year to afford this.

danggummit...you made me order the bowling alley too

I was hoping the aquarium would do better due to it's lower price point, but currently at 6th... orderd a bowling alley, lego store, and aquarium.

Ordered the Lego Store, but very tempting to get a Bowling Alley too.  Interesting to see how the order finishes.

Also, I watched the whole castle debacle go down... doesn't this seem a bit slower?

Seemed like I barely got my 2nd order for 3 in before the original 5000 were sold out.

Wonder how good they'll be tracking down several orders to same "household" guess they've got a year...

Yeah I'm back and forth on the bowling alley... It's a nice design.  I've become a bit confused by what the final design actually looks like/contains.  I started looking at it through the ideas page and it's quite a bit different there (more lanes and more insides).  The description on bricklink says things like "gumball machine" which is seen on the ideas photos, but I cannot locate it in the bricklink photos.

In for windmill, alley, store.

I imagine the ideas submission is moot at this point, these have gone through some kind of finalization process to come to these price points/actual workability. When open, the Bowling alley is awesome, but it has a roof with AC units and stuff... so on display as a building it looks like the suburban hellscape I already see all the time. If it had made it as an IDEAS set, the Lego designers would have addressed this issue, I think.

I got the windmill and store for resale and I grabbed a seasons in time for myself.

Its design is my biggest pro/con.  Taking up approximately 2 baseplates makes it harder to place it somewhere.  But the inside is much more fun with the wider build.  Being disciplined can be no fun sometimes lol :P .

Same.

Looks like they will all make it. Plus the Venetian House, which is just so expensive.

Going very slowly. I guess last time they let us order 3 and we were all over the castle.

the lego store takes the lead : )

Got a Lego modular, bowling alley and ruined house...though I'm really sad to see how far behind the ruined house is lagging.
