The new Padme is awesome, excellent detail.  Wonder if they'll ever make an attempt at an arena set?

It would have to be modular.

Plot twist...The copy I obtained in my recent bulk lot is actually brand new & sealed. Nice little surprise. $20 on joe vs Dan isn’t interested in a new copy, so it’s available to anyone else who

I seem to get lucky and stumble upon a nice local bulk lot every now and then. The last one I bought had a few unopened sets mixed in. This was one of them. I sold my Gunship on eBay a couple weeks a

So I have $130 worth of gift cards to target. Should I wait for it to go on sale or should i just get it now. This set is for me to make not an investment.

The Gunship is a great choice. Darth LEGO recently purchased and built it, so maybe he can give you some feedback on the set. I also recommend the AT-TE. I saw it at Target today, but the box is a whole lot smaller than I originally anticipated.

If it were for myself, I would wait for a Christmas sale and use my Redcard for an extra 5% off.  Target will match any Walmart sale as well, so keep an eye out once November hits...

I got the Gunship 2 weeks ago and I really like it. It is a well designed set and the minifigures are superb. I would recommend you check out the following reviews.

I saw fhe gunship at Target yesterday and it was very hard to resist the urge to buy it right then. I haven't built a gunship yet. I would prefer to build 7676 but it's hard to justify $300 when the new one is half price. Anyway I didn't buy it because I'm waiting for the Sept. LEGO Shop at Home offers. I reeeeally want as many micro bus polybags as I can get :)

I would certainly buy at $70 but I'm not going big on this one.  TLC has already released two similar ships (7676 and 7163), so I'm a little skeptical of release three hitting big returns.

What about 75020 Sail Barge at 70?  Better choice?

I might also be able to get Falcon 7965 at 75, which seems like a no brainer as its MSRP is 20 dollars higher.

not taking a chance investment wise. The new one is pretty sweet and has awesome figures, but there are so many other sets that have a safer investment.

You could grab a couple fo the figs though and save them. They could be worth somwething if the aren't redone.

I like the Sail Barge better at $70 than the RG at $70 but I'm not backing the truck up on the Sail Barge either for similar reasons.  I'll probably grab a couple, but they're not retiring in awhile so there's time on both of these.

I bought a couple of Gunships at $70 or so a few weeks back at B&******.....it's not a bad deal.  The Gunship is as good or better than its previous versions....I'd argue the barge is not (except for the minifigs).

I'd love to build a gunship for $70, but I'm not investing in it at any price. Probably. Nor the Barge or Malevolence. Out of all your picks I actually think the Lion Temple is the best bet, but not yet.

Would you rank Malevolence and Lion Chi Temple below the Gunship?

I would rank Malevolence below the Gunship, but I would buy the Lion Chi Temple at $70 before the gunship.

The sail barge isn't worth it either until we know what happens with the set. Buy one to build.

Big pplus for the sail barge is Max Rebo though. He is a pretty sweet figure.

Where are getting these deals BTW? :)

I would guess B&N with membership discount and 1-2 coupons stacked, but that's purely speculation.

Okay so here's the live rankings:

1. Lion Temple

2. Gun Ship

3. Sail Barge

4. Malevolence

Where would you put the Pirate Ship Ambush?   Assume all five are 70 dollars.

Last question: where would you put Helm's Deep at $106 in the above list?  This is really helping, thanks.
