A metal Han Solo in Carbonite keychain for $100 SW purchase?  Interesting but is it worth it?  I don't do keychains so I have no ideal, does this have a larger appeal?

For comparison, check what the limited edition Ford Mustang keychain that early buyers of that set received is worth these days.

I'd say, don't hold your breath over the Han Solo in Carbonite keychain becoming valuable.

That is a good comparison - came with purchase of $150.  However, I did not buy the Mustang so I could get the keychain.  I bought it and the keychain happened to come with it.  I'm not a FORD fan so I will never use the keychain.  I had planned to flip it, but even then the price wasn't much to brag about.

I wasn't sure if the SW keychains had a higher appeal.  The FORD one has a more limited demand imho (need to be both LEGO and FORD fan).  SW + LEGO has a much broader appeal.  But still, a key chain as a GWP for $100?  I just don't see it... period.

Pretty bummed about the November calendar.  Don't we usually get a cool holiday freebie?  Or is that december?

Believe a fella confirmed it will be the Christmas Carol scene. And will hit around Black Friday.

The Mustang keychain sold for more early on but then was re-introduced as an item you could buy with VIP points so even more went into the wild.  The point remains, though, that Ford Mustang is NOT Star Wars.  This will have much more appeal than the Mustang keychain.  Not saying it's going to be a $50 freebie, but it will bring a better return.

Last year I got a few of the Christmas trees during the black friday sales.

Good news about the Christmas Carol.  Thanks for the info.  I forgot the Tree was from Black Friday.  That was a great freebie.  I've got 4 left.  Wish I had a few hundred.

$102.92 subtotal in cart.  No keychain added.  And yes I'm signed in . . .  Switching up orders and still not getting the gwp . . .

hmmm, I just did a test cart with a tantive and it shows up.

Either Lego is working really hard at not letting people buy too much from them or they are very low on inventory.  If that's the case, it would seem they are pushing more of their inventory to their retail partners.  Should be interesting to see if we get a repeat of the 2nd quarter.
