So there are a ton of these listings, pictures show them with Lego stamps. But it's only ever Darth Vader parts. There have been a good deal of sellers dumping these "genuine" parts on eBay.

My assumption is that someone found themselves a copy of a Darth Vader mold and is distributing them. And based on sold listings... they're selling a decent amount of them.

Any chance that Lego actually made this many random translucent Darth Vader figures?

I'd say most definitely a recovered mold. But who knows. There are similar translucent minifigure parts being sold out of Singapore. Some Ebay sellers are calling them prototypes.
