I am a bit puzzled that this has been "hard to find" indeed in Europe since August, but has been and still is readily available in North America and the Asia/Pacific region. Is demand in Europe so much higher for this set?

I think she is finished, just doing the dance In Europe, but nowbody even wants to invite her to dance in the rest of the world.

Is this bad news for those of us that want more pirate sets? Feels like this and the creator 3-in-1 might not have sold that well.

I don't have any first hand experience with Scheels. Other BP'ers have ordered from them in the past and, as far as I can recall, none of them have mentioned any problems?

Thoughts on this set coming back to life as a non-ideas set ala Apollo V and Ship in the bottle.

I wouldn't think so. It's a large set that takes up a lot of room, and doesn't appear to be overly popular. I think it's done. Really done.....

Maybe Lego should have gone all out and made it a Pirate Ship first and foremost. The ship wreck aspect was less appealing to the AFOLs. I think the Imperial Flagship is more universally appealing to even non-Pirate collectors.

My thoughts exactly.  No desire to add it to my personal collection, and at least in Canada I don't see money to be made after fees and shipping. Costco and Toys R Us have had this

regularly available.  An actual ship would of been a game changer.

its pretty much gone now other than amazon, has a good rank, 10 k in toys 500 in lego and everyone is talking about it

amazon just raised the price to 299

Arm swept all I could find today @30% off local dept stores. They took it offline and I was happy to see them in stores at 140chf a piece.

Not in ch though, there is no in stock notification button for me as well. 

Still widely available. Either last stock-up or Tree-house déjà vu.
