Very cool. I completely missed the boat (ha) on the Old Fishing Store, so will be interested to build this one.

It looks like Legonardo... if he's the designer he really had to tone down his angular whimsy to get to something with consumer-friendly instructions. Awesome stuff.

I supported this & it's a day one purchase for me. If they ruin this one, I won't ever buy anything Ideas ever again.

You mean like two facades hinged together?  Basically the same Sesame Street treatment.  If they do that it had better come with a goat to make up for it.

I always wonder what do they do with those molds that were used once and then never again. Without those goats 7189 would have never cost that much.

Wow they neutered that set pretty bad. Looks like Duplo now.

They dumbed it down a little too much...sad! The original submission was fantastic...

The difference between a $299+ submission and a $99-$149 end result.

It would look great typically, but because it is dramatically scaled down it looks disappointing.

Well, in and of itself - It would be (and is) a nice looking set.

But in the reality of reasonable expectations - it sucks.

Will be interesting to see what the the interior looks like. Could be a great set to stash away if/when Lego ever brings back the Castle line...

Supposedly it's $149 with 4 minifigures and a horse... yikes. Rip to the fantastic original design

They gave us a hobbit house...

I am happy for the designer to be getting credit, but it seems so far removed from the original design.

I'm not sure why this end product even needs to be attributed to one particular IDEAS designer.

Seeing this makes me want the Lowenstein castle.

Hadnt known the original I would have said it was great :)

Duplo?  Gimme a break.  It’s lacking comparatively but that’s the case with most Ideas sets.  Wait until you see more images before forming such a opinion.
