I agree. I liked the earlier, classic box art. The black box with the silver Star Wars logo. 10143 or 10134 for example.

The MOC posted earlier is under 2k pieces and hasn't been optimized either.  If LEGO can pull that off, they might be able to sell it for around $200.

I think it's close to perfect, although some proportions are a bit off. I wouldn't complain.

I agree.  Maybe a bit too tall, but like you said it's really close.  Shame they don't share a time-line for this. 

I guess it's safe to say we won't be seeing a Tie Bomber or Nebulon-B Medical Frigate any time soon from LEGO, so those MOCs will still be popular.
