May 13, 20196 yr Never even heard of this show until this LEGO series. Checked it out and ended up binging first 6 episodes...till 4am! Love all the 80's references...very cool Goonies vibe. ...btw...does Wynona Ryder character EVER comb her hair? Edited May 13, 20196 yr by $20 on joe vs dan
May 13, 20196 yr Lots of new pics up in the usual place...This set looks glorious. I really can't find one thing I dislike about it...
May 14, 20196 yr Set looks good IMO interested to see what other (if any sets come out to accompany it) would they be from season 1, 2, or current etc.? Still not really sure how the rotation/tree features will work... or if maybe the house is supposed to just be separated horizontally. Perhaps someone with more brain cells than myself could explain their hypothesis... Either way I am excited for the set

Either way I am excited for the set I think the trees work as "stands" and you simply turn the house around to put it either on the upper two trees or the lower two. I wonder how stable this will be in real play situations...

I was thinking the trees are stationary and the home rotates but the images are now gone, so we will have to wait until the official release. Is this still scheduled for VIP release tomorrow? Might stop by the store to view it.

If the home rotated on the trees, you would have "upside down" trees matched up with the "normal" version of the house..wouldn't make sense based on the source material.
May 14, 20196 yr images from: https://www.stonewars.de/news/lego-stranger-things-75810-bilder/ clearly the set just flips over...the top of trees appear to be the base for both scenes

I need to see it in person (or at least real build pics) to be able to wrap my head around it. Very cool, nonetheless! Edit to add: No sooner did I say that, then LEGO posted this on their Instagram account:
May 14, 20196 yr Author Popular Post That 80’s commercial TLG created for this is probably the best video they’ve ever done.
May 15, 20196 yr The source material choice and the marketing of this set make me think that Lego is trying to broaden their potential user base outside of kids and established AFOLs. I'm curious to see if they continue to make a more concerted push in different markets.
May 15, 20196 yr I'm sure there have been more unique sets at some point, but I can't think of any. This is truly incredible. I don't think it has as large a potential buyer base as most sets, but fans of the series that have never bought LEGO might consider this.

May 15, 20196 yr I believe this will be worth seeing in person today. Ive got $65 in VIP credits just hanging out... Edited May 15, 20196 yr by CosmicSpeed
May 15, 20196 yr Am I the only one looking at this set and mostly thinking, "Ohhh, blue plant leaves"!

May 15, 20196 yr Never seen the show.Although I am aware of. This is a pretty cool set but there's so many things to buy for a deal, I'll wait for a discount. Happy to see Lego trying some stuff like this, and overwatch and other more recent possible nostalgia themes. I wonder if overwatch will ever go off 20% deal? Not all will be winners. Does stranger things somehow tie in with Ghostbusters? I've seen hints it may. 3 minutes ago, MrToes16 said: Am I the only one looking at this set and mostly thinking, "Ohhh, blue plant leaves"! Ya the blue plant leaves and all those tree parts are nice on this set:)
May 15, 20196 yr Saw in person just now. I bought it using some random cash and VIP, so about 100 total.Sent from my VS995 using Brickpicker Forum mobile app
