Does Anyone Do Custom Minifigure Printing??

Just curious if anyone has dabbled in custom printing their own mini figures?

I've heard water slide decals are a good way to start. Others have mentioned investing in a pad printer which is insanely expensive.

If anyone does this, I would love to see some of your work and hear about your process. I really am not looking to buy custom minifigs, just pick someones brain who has experience with it!
