27% off is not great even on a large set. 40% and I'll invest.

Depends what set, doesn't it? I've done very well with many large sets at a 25% discount.

Cool set but I'm disappointed they didn't use a shield for the face.

  • anyone of the naysayers who badmouth LEGO for creativity and remakes that rip this set should be banned for 6 months...

It´s going to set a record as a short run for large D2C sets, making Joker Manor seem like the Death Star!

Overhoarding should not be an issue but a big discount would be desirable to offset the risk on a set with a niche audience.

I think it is an awesome set and bought two from Wal-Mart at the discount.  Problem is I have 10 metal beards ship which is an amazing ship and it isn't rocking it, which is disappointing.

It's back up. They had about 150 units yesterday when I looked, then OOS, now they 'found' another 425 units today. Could this mean they wanted to test the waters yesterday, see it sold through and released more at the same price knowing they don't have to discount it further? Perhaps I'm overthinking this.

You missed the window for Seacow. I dunno if there will be a window or a brick wall for this set - it´s 50/50.

I know I did, but I was holding out for more.  I hold for 100% net return.  Sadly it isn't there, yet

You won´t double your money on this set either.

After giving it some over- thought, I've restrained my itchy clicker finger, It's been a little lower, maybe lower again, I'll hold... for now. If stock dries up quick though I may change my mind.

Did anyone in UK manage to order this from Lego online when it was 30% off couple of days ago, as was showing as OOS from the get go

Just like I said back in the day about the Sea Cow: No matter how well-designed it is, nobody will buy this after EOL, not for himself and not for his kids.

This is funny! I loaded up on these at 35% off and they're selling like hotcakes over RRP.

Nobody could have known about such a short run though. Only 60 listed on BL, this is a joke right?

Please let this trend continue.

I went all in on discounted Apocabergs, Ninjago cities, Ninjago docks, Bountys and Cloud Cities. Am I crazy? Probably...

My bet is Docks will be the big winner. Everyone who builds a Ninjago city will eventually want one. At least one hopes they will...

Cloud City didn't hit 40%, I passed. Ninjago City is tricky, there is a lot of stock. Bought mine at almost 45% off, so that's not an issue. Docks doesn't feel massive enough imho, I don't feel it. 70840 really is the best big box exclusive we have rn just due to the low quantities. There's only like 13 listed on eBay here. In comparison there are over a hundred NCs.

This thing will do great, no doubt!

Ahh. Cloud City hit $200 in the States. That was my bite.
