Just a random observation of something that's happened a few times now. Back in the summer I bought a whole bunch of the DC Super Heroes cheap sets on clearance and they sat on my shelves for months, unloved. Then yesterday one of the Wonder Woman dorm rooms sold, I raised the price $5, then another sold, raised the price $5, then the last one sold. Something similar happened around this time last year where I had 3 of the most recent pirate ships sit for months and then they all sold on the same weekend. Makes me wonder if some youtuber or mommy blogger somewhere suddenly posted a video review recommendation or something. I see that the price for the Wonder Woman dorm is still $10 higher than the last one I sold so I'm tempted to go get a few at this one place I know has them at regular price because there's still enough of a spread to make some coin.

What is your selling platform?

Same thing has happened to me with the Arctic Base. 3 sold on BL in 2 weeks. Raised the price every time and still they went. Love it!

Best Match really pushes your recent sellers (regardless of price) - Buyers will often buy the best match even if it is twice the best price.

It can be like hitting a mini lottery sometimes, so if you have a large quantity that starts hitting - Raise the prices and watch them fly!

I believe it´s called Xmas.

Great to hear about the sales, though.

I’m all for Christmas and sales are up, but I think there’s something more to a shelf clogger suddenly selling out in a day. The Best match feature mentioned above sounds like a likely suspect.

Well I am still stuck with all of mine so the best match will be the one that lights first and consumes the lot of them at this rate!

Thanks for the heads up.  Selling over rrp on fleabay UK now.  Time to release the fleas.

I cleared a bit of Escort Girls sets from TRU when they were 1/2 price with GC offers.  I heard all the stinker probs with this theme but it had a nice niche feeling to it with a short life (+ decent combination of promos offer).

Here we go again. Sold my first Batman Scuttler this morning after months of no action, raised the price $10 and another one just sold and I raised the price again. I have 5 of these. I was really worried about the Lego Batman movie theme given how much has sat on shelves, but the retired sets have been moving for me. Last year when there was a shortage of Batmobiles and LowRiders before Christmas I was selling those regularly.

I find this phenomenon interesting because I am small scale, usually selling 2-3 sets a week outside of Christmas and its usually weeks or more between when a set sells and the same one sells again. Something in the water
