It appears this launched today- technic builds with fish skins that is more kickstarter type project. Hadn't heard anything about this. I think they would make a cool display or desk piece. 

The question is how many and long term value?

 

These are looking like a fail for Lego. Plenty left and they've cut the price by 22%. For those who 'purchased' early - what do we get charged? The original or reduced price?

Dont think its a fail. The goal I think was to try different ways to release sets (not to mass produce a stinker). Big success in that this wasn't as popular and they won't lose money producing too many sets. They can move on to the next thing that is a winner

Early UK sales have been in the £150-200 range. Not sure where this is going to go. I don't think there will be a glut of sellers but what kind of demand for such a poor set will there be going forward?

This is LEGO branching out in to something totally new that they should've done years ago. I can see this theme being the biggest success in years. I personally don't like it, but people are so sick of seeing same-old-same-old that they need a totally new idea, this is it!

There's a lot of money to be made me thinks. Being a sign-maker, I can print any skin I want to any shape ?

0.3mm  Viprint would be a good material to print on as I can also MOC and sell those too. The possibilities are endless and it doesn't have to be fish.

A few sold listings on Ebay from the UK sets released are selling at around $200 for the Super Box, not many sellers. Will be interesting to see the influx of NA listings and how that will affect price.

Only 11 UK sales so far. I'm regretting rejecting a £150 offer. I think further sales will be slow and there's the risk of a proper release undermining the value.

Just got an email. The some of the skins were water damaged on their way to the US, so they are inspecting each one for quality control. Not sure if that means they are opening each set or not. Sounds like it was a small amount, not all of them, so orders should be arriving by mid February.

They sent out an update stating there are still delays for some US orders, but that they should all be shipped out before the middle of the month.

I never received a shipping notice but mine was on my porch when I got home from work today. Anybody else getting theirs yet?

And I only saw them mention that they would only contact the people who's orders were not being shipped in this wave.....so I'm hoping I don't hear from them!

Got mine today too. I did get a email from LEGO Shop at Home telling me my order shipped. It took me a while to figure out what it was they sent me. Not sure if I want to sell it or build it. 

I just received an email from FedEx for a delivery tomorrow of Lego Product. I haven't ordered anything from Lego this week so maybe Forma?

What did they use to ship FedEx, USPS, or UPS?

Two out of the three you mentioned; FedEx Smartpost. 

Nothing in my email showing a shipment yet for me. Glad people are getting theirs, looking firward to getting mine soon and my other supported project, Stanley suction Cup roof rack and tie downs.

Got one of my orders today: koi + 1 of each skin.  Didn’t receive my second order: combo pack.  Hoping to receive it tomorrow.

I like the packaging on these - very well done.

Got mine. Presumably when I ordered a super pack ($85) and each separately ($90). Don't know about the one I ordered with my wife's card.

Combo pack is the same as the koi + 1 of each skin.  It was just the price that was different.
