(If this isn't the right place to post this, my apologies!)

My family just recently inherited a bunch of Legos from a close family friend that passed away and we don't know how to handle them. He had them separated in Ziploc bags with the instructions and kept just the top part of the boxes for some reason. We have about 30 sets and a ton of misc parts, people, weapons, some Lego coin, windows, fences, glasses, head gear, helmets, etc. There is a custom set that looks like a military fort with trunks, weapons, stoves, beds, etc. all inside the 'houses' along with the military people. Does anyone have any advice on how to go about selling all of these and where to sell them?? Thanks in advance for any help!  

You can sell them on Ebay or Bricklink.

You are probably going to need someone familiar with Lego to take a look at them and  give you a cursory statement as to what you have there.

A complete set is going to be worth more than a random bunch of pieces.

Keep in mind the instructions to all Lego sets are available for free at Lego. com.  At the back of them they have piece inventories.

The fastest, easiest thing to do would be to sell the whole thing as a "lot" or maybe several smaller lots, with a photograph of a pile of pieces.  You won't get maximum value that way, but it's fast and easy.
