  • Well, one could argue that the lack of respect began way before Disney came into the picture...Jar Jar Binks and Hayden Christensen weren't exactly beacons of cinematic brilliance. Nothing will eve

  • Because even at its worst, Star Wars is more enjoyable to watch than 95% of the other s#$% out there...with the exception of that Ewok thing in the 80s. People expect too much. Just enjoy the movies

joined by veteran Star Wars actors Mark Hamill,

The role of Leia Organa will once again be played by Carrie Fisher, using previously unreleased footage shot for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. “We desperately loved Carrie Fisher,” says Abrams. “Finding a truly satisfying conclusion to the Skywalker saga without her eluded us. We were never going to recast, or use a CG character. With the support and blessing from her daughter, Billie, we have found a way to honor Carrie’s legacy and role as Leia in Episode IX by using unseen footage we shot together in Episode VII.”

Excited to see Lando come back.  I wish them good luck in trying to use old footage of Carrie Fischer, but how much old footage can they have?

Can't wait for it to be revealed that Mace Windu survived his fall out the window in Ep. 3 and comes back with his trademark purple lightsaber for a hand. ???

I sure hope they bring back Jar Jar Binks!

Darth Jar Jar would be a welcome and surprisingly uncontroversial decision at this point. If he can ride in on a casino horse that would nail the tone perfectly.

The livestream for the Episode IX panel has started online.  Stephen Colbert is moderating, which is always a hoot.

Am I the only that really couldn't care less if there's another Star Wars movie or not? However, I'd really love the latest episode to set the World alight, but I'm not clinging on to much hope thanks to the utter garbage that TLJ was - sorry! Also, what rehashed Disney-Taxed dross will LEGO rehash to extort even more money from fans accompany this?

Episode VIII ruined it for me so the amount of f***** I could give has been depleted...

The Rise of Skywalker, wonder who they're talking about there.

No. Way.  He's back...

Luke narration, emperor, Bill D laughing, one might think they're compensating.

I am calling it now. Potential Lego Sets:

  • Kylo Ren Red Lightning Helmet BUST
  • UCS Micro Droid (next to BB8)
  • New Tie Interceptor? Silver and Red
  • Billy-D Millenium Falcon Edition
  • Palpatine's Laughter in Brick Form
  • Episode IX A-Wing UCS MBS

Revenge of the Sith. Return of the Jedi. The Rise of Skywalker. It's like poetry, it rhymes...sort of.

In the meantime:

"The Last Jedi sucked and killed Star Wars for me!"

Insert Palpatine Laugh.

"OMFG HE'S BACK! THE SENATE IS BACK!"

And time for all the conspiracy theories and dissection to begin.

Well played, Disney. Well played...

I apologize for being a downer but I personally thought this trailer was horrible. Lando? Cool. The laugh? Okay we’ll see where that goes. The rest? Blah. I hated TFA but at least the trailer was good. TLJ and this one have looked dry. Ps  the name sucks.
