If they had offered something like the "Exclusive" Black VIP card (Hogwarts Express Ticket perhaps?), I wonder if this would have resulted in higher day-1 demand?

I ordered online. I'm not driving 2.5 hours for the stickers.  I'll use my $40 credit for the pre-order some other time.

I felt robbed buying them and only getting a Ninjago city sized box.   Gotta be big Ben part deux

Wonder how long it will take before someone expands this set to be more accurate?

Designer Q&A

I am waiting for double VIP and when LED lights are out for this set.

Any rumors when the next double VIP points event will be?

I'm guessing October. Last year was 10-25 Oct.

I wonder if LEGO will continue with the hype if they plan to release sets for all 7 books. Will they continue to release a new UCS expansion towards this castle set? It will be really cool to have a new UCS each year to expand to make it a real hogwarts with Diagon Alley etc.

Justin is a real HP nerd and very cool guy in person.

Does anyone know the main colour of the castle?  It looks like a nice brown with dark grey turrets in the images but in the designers video it appeared quite yellow with purpleish turrets.

Not sure what you're seeing, its classic tan (sand yellow) and dark blueish grey. Rocks in dark flesh/nougat I believe.

Rock pieces look dark tan to me.  I don't believe that Lego makes LURPS/BURPS in dark flesh

Yeah, I heard there was a spike in the price of tan paint on the commodities market.

And without running any sort of giveaway with the set there's really no incentive to buy right away unless you "need" this day 1.
