February 14, 201312 yr Take a look at these clever displays for series 9. What a great idea. Series 9 displays
February 14, 201312 yr Can someone explain to me as a n00b what "Series 8", "Series 9", etc is? I keep seeing that in context of minifigs. Thanks
February 14, 201312 yr There are 9 different series of minifigs they started with series 1 and are up to series 9
February 14, 201312 yr There are 9 different series of minifigs they started with series 1 and are up to series 9 Um.. that's what I gathered obviously - I need a bit more information than that Ie: What is the significance of "series"? Is it something they release on an annual basis? Thus the new "Series"? How many per "Series", etc?
February 14, 201312 yr Most people try to collect every one in a given series. Which isn't to difficult because there aren't like 50 in each series, I dont know the exact number in each series but its a fairly small number.
February 14, 201312 yr Author Can someone explain to me as a n00b what "Series 8", "Series 9", etc is? I keep seeing that in context of minifigs. Thanks Lego releases sets of collectable minifigs that consist of 16 figures. There have been 9 released series. So when someone refers to series 1, they are referring to the first series. 9 happens to be the last series released.
February 14, 201312 yr That's ingenious! I like the butler one the best. Some of the other minifigs would be perfect for "environements" like this. I probably lack the skill and creativity to make this without any pictures! :-)

I am going to see if I can track down some more pics of older series.
February 15, 201312 yr I love vignettes like these! They are just so much more interesting and unique than a simple display case. I thought the "Chicken Suit Guy" was funny as is, but that diorama with him in front of the barn makes me laugh my butt off!
February 15, 201312 yr Author The retiring page has series 9 figs on it. Didn't these just come out? wtf
February 15, 201312 yr If you think those are cool check out VignetteBricks. The entire site is dedicated to 8x8 vignettes. (www.VignetteBricks.com)
February 15, 201312 yr Sorry, should be www.vignettebricks.blogspot.com Thanks for sharing. Already have it 'faved'. Found a pic that I think fits most of us, including me. Hey Ed, does this scene look familiar? Ha ha! Forgot a link to the builders gallery, here is .Bricko on flickr.
