Best way to sell bulk lego?

Divide into colors and sell by the pound?

Is it worth it going after some of the better sets in the pile? I have more than one old airport (3182, 60022), trainsets, some Indiana Jones and maybe a Hogwarts Castle.  Also the construction crawler and some bigger boats.  It wouldn't phase me to buy the instructions and possibly a used box on brinklink and piece it together for completion.

What about minifigs?  A bit of everything, some star wars, etc.  Sell in bulk.

Wheels and windows?  Piles of them, divide them out and sell?

I've been separating the crap blocks from OG Lego and then washing.  What should I do with the BTR and MegaBlocks?  Burn them as an offering to the Gods?

I'd rather auction everything as I do on ebay with my new in box sets.  Tell me why that may not be a good idea?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Not a bulk seller myself so i can't comment on the "best way" to sell a lot, however you mentioned Indiana Jones and Howgwarts, sets like that i would personally probably build up and sell individually seeing as how they are desirable and worth enough to be worth the time/effort to complete.

You don't need to buy boxes or instructions. You'll make more money by selling sets. selling minifigures by bulk is the way to get the least money. If you don't want to put in the effort to put sets together and sell the minifigures either with sets or by themselves, you can sell them easily and cheaply as a lot.

So what do you guys think of burning the Mega Blocks?  And what deity should I sacrifice them to?

If you want to subject your family and or neighbors to horrible burning plastic fumes, by all means, burn away. Or, how about washing those mega blocks and donating them to a worthy charity? A shelter for battered women and children seems like a good idea.
