December 7, 20178 yr Author And just the friends theme (Bela)? I’m no expert in Chinese law, but I’d presume the precedent would stand and apply across all themes.Either way, this opens the door to LEGO winning similar suits.
December 7, 20178 yr Being China, can't Bela & bogus bricks just create a new company and carry on as before? I'm hoping that the Chinese will crack down on this as it may discourage LEGO from resurrecting more sets like the Taj Mahal.

I'm hoping that the Chinese will crack down on this as it may discourage LEGO from resurrecting more sets like the Taj Mahal.I have a buddy who buys a toy from China for resale on amazon. He ran into the bogus group who sold him bogus bricks for resale. He sold them not on amazon but to neighborhood businesses. He mentioned they told him that they had government inspectors and reps from lego come down and shut the building down. Bogus bricks said not to worry. They will be restarting somewhere else under a different name. Not sure on if and when they did, but that's what he was told.
May 21, 20187 yr It's a shame lego has run into this problem with china but some bootleg lego in the uk was very close to the real product more often than not the colors do not match well
September 1, 20187 yr http://www.gizmodo.co.uk/2018/08/counterfeit-lego-brand-ordered-to-pay-1-7-million-in-damages/ They won another suit against bogus bricks.
