aaah..! I love the box art! especially the Temple..

I'll pass on all of those, except that Temple.  I really like that Temple.

One  retires, another comes along immediately. Temples are the Police Stations of Ninjago City.

It would be interesting to know how popular  Ninjago line is in Japan.. one would think that it has to have a huge success over there

I can't tell if the new one has a motorcycle inside of the car just lilke the old one.

Per the box art it looks like evil Garmaddon is back

The vehicles appear fun as usual with the line. However the baddies do not stand out like any faced before. With the odd exception, they just seem like bad bikers. (I have not seen the film yet if that is where these are from or kept on top of the series in general lately.)

This stuff has nothing to do with the film IMO. I don't really get what they are doing here. That maxifig is cool though. 

Aside from Kai's A-Wing in that first picture, these just look like clever redesigns of older sets as Quacs pointed out.

70639 is just updated versions of 9441 Kai's Blade Cycle and 70733 Blaster Bike

70642 is like a cross between 70501 Warrior Bike and 70720 Hover Hunter

There you go... at least they added a motorcycle, though the motorcycle now appears to be the helicopter of the city line.

I thought they may be from the TV series and not the film but did not want to make assumptions. The maxifig is a standout character to me as well.

I've become a huge fan if his theme since Ninjago City and the new Destinys Bounty. I was an expat in Hong Kong for years and I just love the Orient. I'm looking forward to adding a "Chinatown" to my modular collection.

May need to get two of 70657 one for each side of Ninjago City.

Both will be. Just look at 70653 Firstborne Dragon. 

(Dragons and Helicopters™ should be a theme btw, it would sell like hotcakes.)
