June 21, 20187 yr As crappy as they were, I'm going to miss them. They were a big part of my childhood and my kids loved it when I took them there...even when I didn't buy them anything. haha
June 21, 20187 yr I thought about taking my kids there one last time but now I don't want that moment to stick in their memories. That's depressing.

That's not my picture, but I thought it was a sad one. I did take pictures of my kids in front of the store one last time. They are actually upset and don't fully understand why it has to close.

June 24, 20187 yr I thought about taking my kids there one last time but now I don't want that moment to stick in their memories. That's depressing. That’s what mine looks like too. Store I mean, not the kids.
June 24, 20187 yr Took my kids for the last time today. Any sadness they had was wiped away with the 80% off Athe remaining scrapes. Plus I picked up a couple signs today, including a LEGO sign and a sign with Geoffrey on it. I’ll post pics later.

June 26, 20187 yr I stopped at an out-of-area Toys R Us over the weekend. And true to the warnings here, toys were all junk (except perhaps the 250 Nerf darts for $10). What did catch my interest was the stockpile of new shipping boxes being sold for $5/bundle (25 count). Various sizes. Not a bad deal. It sucked that I drove a 2-seater, only managed to squeeze in two bundles ... dangit! Check out the Fullerton store...
June 27, 20187 yr When is "too soon" to start selling these? I feel like I need one. Ooo yes. I'd sport that as well.Although this is my favorite T.
June 27, 20187 yr I bought two large Power Ranger Lion Fire Fortress Zord for $30/each last night. I had been drinking and thought it was a good idea. I'm positive I was wrong. They had virtually nothing left but these things, and there were easily 50 of them. That should have been a clue. Drunk people don't pick up on clues.

June 29, 20187 yr Very sad to finally see this all come to an end. It angers me though with the way they got into $5B in debt. I am sure we will see something new rise from the ashes much like Best Buy popped up after stores like The Wiz went down. http://money.cnn.com/2018/03/15/news/companies/toys-r-us-closing-blame/index.html?iid=EL
June 29, 20187 yr Taken yesterday. Not sure when my local stores last day was. I thought the 30th was the final day for all stores.

June 29, 20187 yr I have 3 regional stores, and all 3 had a different closing day. One was Tues, one was Thur, one was today.
June 29, 20187 yr I’m guessing my local store closed on Tuesday. I was there looking to grab a sign or two (was denied), and it looked like Black Friday - the line was probably 50 deep with carts full of stuff and empty shelves. Everything was 90%, and what was left just was not selling at all, so I’m not surprised that’s what it took.
