For all watching, this is likely the true indicator, no TRU pun intended, of what Lego set may be a future investment winner, or more likely the turd among all turds..

Jyn Erso buildable...yikes.

  • Let's be honest, when you've got: You have Chima sets still on the shelf, that have been retired for 2+ years, and they're still marked above RRP, You don't automatically PM your website

I don't see why TRU has a problem with this guy. He learned this technique from them.  Check the TRU warehouses, they have millions of dollars of products they haven't paid for either.

Well, that was sad.

Went to Toys R Us at opening. Line of 50 people steaming in as I pulled up.

Signs up “up to 30% off” but shelf tags saying 10%. 5% for all building toys (LEGO and Mega).

People were swarming. Carts full. The Toys R Us employee I talked to said, just the way people were acting he felt like they’d be cleaned out by tonight.

I feel for the employees. They still want to do a good job. They still want to help. Feels like they’ve hit the acceptance phase of mourning.

So Bizarre, been to 2 TRU today and people are literally panic buying lego at 5% off TRU’s jacked up prices. The section was already like 40% gone.

Not surprised, we've seen the same behavior at other closings.  Makes no sense, but, a bargain is in the eye of the beholder.

I might have to stand outside of my local TRU with sets that I got for 50% off marked at 5% off (being 10% over MSRP).

I'm going to set up shop with my retired sets, show them the Amazon Prime price and offer a 5% clearance discount .....

Hotcakes anyone?

Legos? No such thing!

My continuing Cardpool saga....

Went in store to do an online order with my Cardpool GCs and was told they couldn't process it in store.  They said they haven't been able to do it for days, though.

Live Chat is no up and running anymore, it seems (for TRU.com).  I'm hoping to try with a live person on the phone.

If not, I'm down to one of two options - Cardpool agrees to do a refund, or, I might have a chance to use the gift cards in store for a regular purchase (as opposed to the online purchase I was trying to make).

Really wasn't wanting to do that, but I may not have much option.

You should have done a price match in-store a few days ago. :P

I thought that it was National Independent LEGO Resellers' Day at TRU. Or was I the only one this morning wishing I had brought more business cards to hand out?20180323_095641.jpg

So they definitely don't take the credit card rewards certificates anymore as of today... Anybody else forget to spend them like the idiot that I am? Lost $120 here today ??

You do have another option. Just call the CC company and have them do a charge-back if all else fails.

I did that with Raise and they locked my account.  They wouldn't refund me for a non-working card.

Lol. Well, at least it's effective.
