I didn't mean to criticize any particular set of MF, I was mainly blowing off steams on seeing so many remakes of the same item at different sizes. I apologize to all audience if I sounded like I am criticizing any set of MF at any rate.

I blame SW fans for that, though. A lot of them just can´t let the OT go and are not as willing to embrace newer characters or ships - BB8 is maybe the exception but quite a few criticised it for being too much for the kiddies. It´s also Disney who are cycling through the same storylines and reusing the same ships in the current trilogy because they know that´s something fans identify with. It´s the New Coke syndrome.

TLG is only going to make collector versions of the sets they think are popular enough amongst fans and the one Ep1-3 set they did at UCS level was a failure 10215 Starfighter. The stuff from the current trilogy is going to take years to reach the iconic status of Red 5 or the Falcon, if ever.

There is no Anakin's Starfighter UCS set???

Beside this there are 4 and not 1 UCS sets from Episode 1 - 3 and 3 of them are doing very, very well after retirement...

But I agree on the rest of your statement...

Yes, this is the one which is not doing well, but to be honest, only 676 parts and not really UCS in my eyes...

What were the other 3? Darth Maul, Grievous and Naboo?

But on the other side, what does UCS mean really today??

There are UCS sets that look like playsets and there are no UCS sets that look like they were some...

Attack on the Hoth vs. Evok Village

Obi Wan's Starfighter vs. Tantive IV or Motorized AT-AT

In the Falcon´s case, there is no doubt. They have given it full UCS packaging, price and size treatment. Looking forward to seeing the manual. Perhaps the gratuitous use of stickers is the only negative point, apart from RRP.

Means more money for Lego.

UCS= Unlimited Cashflow Series

And how dou handle your UCS Star Wars collection now? I am huge LEGO fan but not real an huge SW fan - but I really like the movies and they are very well made in my eyes.

So I have decided to collect only UCS sets (no other SW sets, also no Exclusives like Cloud City etc...) , but now with all the remakes I will only keep the newest versions and sell the old once...

10195 dropship should have been a UCS. Fantastic set and highly underrated.

No - UCS Star Wars sets are reserved for the original stuff, not for spin-offs...

No - but the 10195 dropship is coming from The Clone Wars...

General Grievous and Darth Maul are UCS

With original stuff I don't mention the OT, but the original Star Wars plot...

I think many people would argue that George Lucas / Disney have been making spin-offs since ROTJ!

Again no - there is a simple definition between original plot and spin-offs:

Original plot has always the same characters included as at least supporting actor (e.g. Han Solo and Leia in the last movie) or their descendants (see Godfather 3).

Spin-offs have these characters NOT included with minor exceptions where some scenes of the spin-off take place in the same areas as the original plot...

So what category does Han Solo fall into?

Do you know they actually paid full RRP, though? Could be a scammer, could have a Lego discount or could have used VIP points. Maybe they also have a special FVF promo. I mean idiocy would be the number one suspicio but there are other possibilities.

B2B price for this set is 580Eur. Which means it's not gonna be exclusive most likely.
So if you are running Lego Store Franchise or any type of business associated with Lego your price will be oscillating between 550-580Eur.

5 already up for presale on eBay UK. eBay should never allow non-in-hand presales as there's no guarantee that they they can deliver. I hope that they can't get the sets in time and get negative feedback. Whoever orders one on eBay now is foolish and one has already been sold for £899.99. I hope it ain't one of us!

Ignore the amount of watchers as 99.99% of them are competitors (not buyers) these days.

Hmmm..... TOOS within the hour on day one?

Strange. Was in ep1-3 that I watched. Can't remember which one.

Episode II - Attack of the Clones. They were used in the battle of Geonosis.
