Someone posted a pic of 4 Falcons stacked in a corner on LEGO's Facebook page claiming that he'd be selling them when they're retired for 8 times the purchase price. Should someone tell him?

All I see is a big box .... are you sure there's a Falcon in there? Would be a pain to have to drive back 600 miles

So it was packed almost 2 months ago? Pretty good job in avoiding leaks then.

Did anyone else who missed out on the Millennium Falcon at a Lego Retail Store get a free 2 day shipping code. Well that code is now basically useless because the October 1st Release Date might not even have any new sets in stock. Instead of a Coupon Code for free shipping LEGO could have increased there profits even more. There are 125 Lego Retail Stores in the world and each store should have provided 10 each. The codes could then be used online and take you to a separate site from the regular Millennium Falcon Page and allow you to pick up one a lot easier after waiting in line for who knows how long. So there would be 1250 units that would be sold specifically for this special site. The code can only be used once but it expires after you get your order for the Millennium Falcon in. This site would run for VIP Members until October 1st where any sets not sold would then be sold on the General Release date of October 1st. This would have been a much better system for the LEGO Group, but I guess they wouldn't take the idea into consideration. Might as well keep refreshing the SaH Page for the next 2 months.

it sounds like many were able to keep the MF in their cart until the server started working again. 

I was able to get it into my cart, and "available " status probably a 100+ times, but it errored at the payment screen AND logged me out of VIP and 50% of the time cart was emptied too. 

3 + hours more of battling the site and they were out of stock. Randomly got one of the back order ones they made available for 5 milliseconds....

 

frustrating all of the way around, but not much anyone can do about it after the fact. Oh well. 

I guess i should have worded the poll question, "When will you ATTEMPT to get the Falcon?"

They will have stock. They will have allocated a certain amount for VIP release and separate stock for 1st Oct. Which is why they only kept the back order opportunity very short, they don't want to eat into Oct allocation.  It's whether the site has the same issues again.

The only release where VIP sales knocked out stock for standard release date was the Porsche and that was problems with the packaging requiring a recall than actual stock planning for release date.

Can someone kindly compare the size of the boxes placed next to each other, I mean 75192 and any flagship box /assembly sq,/sandcrawler/death star/ etc. (just the front) I wanted to confront this with my previous calculations.

I don't have a pic to show but in my calculations 75192 is almost the same size as the sandcrawler (a bit smaller in L and H) except for thinkness (or deepness), which about 2,5 times bigger.

Outer Lego Package with some tape arround and some air pads

The normal Lego brown carton when u get it here in germany.

I think they were packed bcs it was so fast.

i wouldn't want to be those sellers when this thing comes back in-stock at MSRP. buyers get 60 or 90 days to file a INAD
