Get your F5 on man! Good luck ?

Forgot about the Australian and NZ folks, my bad.  Pretty much anyone who lives in the future and braved the crowds, either in person or online, thank you.

Good point I've already showed to the RBM those listings with "Signed Boxes" he wasnt impressed on the other hand he was pissed on the Lego marketing team who was responsible for handling this event. Lots of misscomunication but I wont dive into details

If Lego want to avoid people making a quick buck in this manner, they should simply stop doing these sort of events.  They only have themselves to blame.  Doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out that out of the 150, some would be flipped.  But obviously they want the publicity of 150 people queuing up for 12 hours at their flagship store for the worldwide launch of their flagship set.  They can't be so naïve to expect everyone to be so virtuous.  But then again, do they really care.  Probably not, given that all of the falcons in store and in warehouses across the world have now probably sold out.  They'll be patting themselves on the back probably by now.

I'd be careful who you call 'morons' since a lot of the guys queuing up are probably long time BP's (just for the record I didn't queue.  No way I'd have the patience to queue 12 hours for something, even though I am hard-core Brit (Brits love to queue)) since this is likely to be the best window for investment for this set.  Signed, with VIP card will probably double your money now.  Which will be a lot more than at any time post retirement, given that everyone 'will be in for three'.  I'll be getting one for personal build hopefully at discount when this is no longer an SAH exclusive.  Fair play to those who queued and got one. From social media it looks like there was a good atmosphere in the queue and many were there because they genuinely wanted to have one on day one to build and say they were there for what was the only event of its kind in the world.

To be clear, I absolutely do not mean people there buying them to flip, and certainly not early purchasers looking to build. I'm specifically referring to people who have already had listings on eBay for several days, with no way of actually guaranteeing that they would manage to get a set in the first place.

To clear my mind of the impending doom about to hit the US, anyone planning on using any sort of glue on their build if wall-mounting?

Sold out on the lego shop I hope they get more by October

Almost certainly they limited this VIP sale.  On Oct 1st, even if the website is only up for 30s, it would be poor form to have it be "sold out" before it even starts.

any one have in hand picture of the special VIP card that you get with the purchase of the falcon?

A premium perhaps. But doubling your money? And while everyone is 'in for 3' with cheaper sets, not this one.

With the freebies and signature youl'll double your money now easy. That's my point. You won't get double your money for a normal set post eol. I'll wager you a falcon that one of the 100 sold last night signed with the VIP card will go for at least double before the end of the month.

The exclusive cards and numbers being put on the signed boxes surely mean Lego can track which of their VIP's are flipping them?

The numbered card you were given was random from the top 100. It's not linked to an account. Another card linked and with names on the back will be sent out to everyone who bought one.

Not that I'm condoning it, but what control does Lego have against people selling what they paid for?

Banhammer.

I believe we refer to them as "valued customers".

Just beat me to it! And people are quaking in their boots. At the end of the day nothing much Lego can do. You spend £650 on something, you're free to do whatever you want with it.

I really want to get this set. Kind of in 3 minds about this set.

1 I want to build it
2 Don't build just store it &
3 forget about trying to get it. It's expensive but being the largest lego set to date it's history that's my main reason for wanting it I missed out before and the prices for the first version are stupid i would pay rrp then have to fork out some ridiculous EOL price and it's the same here again £650 is a lot but not as much as £700 upwards people selling them on eBay what a joke just goes to show how much they care about owning the set.

I hope by October they will have them in stock for the general public maybe they should lower the limit to 1 because that's all you need really. It's my birthday in October so was going to get this set but If lego are not going to have stock for the general public then they can keep it I've got more then enough pieces to make one.

Wonder how many of these sets that were purchased through the event and online store are actually kept then resold. There's nothing wrong with resellers it's just the ones who don't have any interest in the product and are just using as a tool to make money there's nothing wrong with making profit but what lego are doing is making a expensive set and by the looks of it don't have that much stock probably planned because they knew it would be a hit and sell out so the people who don't have that capital straight away miss out.

There's loads of other sets out there and other things you could buy for that kind of money as I collect minifigures I don't know if I want to spend that for what you get might just buy a scooter[emoji1] that way I would be able to get to the next event when they have one rant over an out

Ok, I'll wager a virtual falcon. Post a link if you spot one. And do we mean a sale of double or profit of double?

Lots of QFFs hitting F5 right now here in the US, others standing in line outside TLG B/M store competing with collectors to get one today. Good luck to everyone trying to get one this morning here the US.

I pretty sure it's not going to be limited at all long term (2years or longer) since this will be a huge mother of set for the TLG and like the UCS DS this is going to be around for a while for TLG profit and by coincidence it helps anyone who doesn't have the 10179. This will prolong your resale time if you're a hold and wait reseller.

The only things right now I can see as limited is the limited 'Black VIP card' that is sent to you at a later time.

With that being said I'd like to get one today but can wait till a double VIP or when it's next available since I believe it'll be around for awhile.

You've been a member of the wrong site for over a year.

Here's a question while we wait. Will this huge/expensive UCS MF 75192 set also be available at your local area retailers where you live?

Here would be, US -> Amazon US, Target, TRU and Walmart etc...
