Without trying much I got it down to $90 with $10 back in points, and that is before throwing in all the free sweeps money SYW is sending my way lately. So easily 30% off already on release day ....

I can only get down to $80, since I got the Kylo Tie for $29

Sorry, I just can't see the appeal of this set. No droid in model form will ever have the same kudos as R2-D2 IMHO. I've tried to like the BB-8 model and I just can't.

there are bigger badder things on my list that my VIP must go towards....

Picked up BB8 this morning at Lego store.  Great model. Amazing how many people were there before store opening for it.

love bb8 set.  the head rotation and the little arm coming out are smooth and fun.  didnt actually get to build it as son would not allow me to.  he was cool with me paying for it though.  

This set was sold out before noon at my local Lego Store.

I got the second last one at my Lego Store this afternoon.  I'm sure it's sold out there now.  That said, this is a general release, so TRU, Walmart, and Target online stores will have these.

This set is going to be a giant hit. We haven't even seen it in Ep 8 yet - If more personality is shown, a la R2, this is going to be really popular.

The attention that this set is now getting tells me that many thousands will be hoarded and profit margins may be low. I may still get one, but only if 3-for-2 or 50% off. The SW secondary market is beyond saturated. Of course the "Disney Tax" means a lot less plastic for your money.

It's been OOS at pretty much every store near me. I spotted some at a Target this afternoon, but everywhere else has been empty shelves.

I got one by being first through the door at LEGO Store on Friday. I'm good. Just observing at all the stores my wife drags me to on her quest for discounted school supplies. She's hoping for a lot of cheap backpacks. I get bored and wander over to the LEGO

I got my two that I wanted. And some other stuff, gonna build one tomorrow and keep one seal.

Great little set. Built it up at the cottage with the family and everyone loved it.
