I like the hospital too, lots of open windows

The Woolly Mammoth is awesome and the polar bear again. Would love to see the regular elephant make a come back

I think they will be pissed off that there is an identical theme coming so soon. Or might it even help the original sets as people will want both?

Yes, these are expansion packs.

The Mining and Arctic rehashes are awful.  They aren't any better than the last ones.  The hospital gives me some hope.  

Love that there is a hospital coming, finally.  Just when I think I'm done with City, they pull me back in.

As an Iowan, I will be very excited to see a farm set.  Missed the 2009 series and not willing to pay aftermarket prices.

But thats actually not the background info that I would be looking for.. I thought that after 3 yrs they could keep at least their RRP price after retirement.

Reaching RRP after EOL is now deemed good performance these days.

Arctic theme is a classic example of lego investing. The plane and the little ski bike were winners, the boat is OK and the rest are turds so selling the whole range means amortising the cost of the turds against the winners. Much better just to have focused on the 3 decent sets but that plane was not so easy to find.

Now they will all take a hit as the new sets are very similar.
