  • Finished. Well I guess I need to see the movie as there is a lot of build here that I have no clue what it is. Besides being an amazing display set, it is very busy and seems to have something differe

I'm sure there will be some mud slinging my way with what I'm about to say, but I'm going to anyways.  I understand that for some of you with Ninjago, it seems you guys tend to avoid it for investing

  • Nice find @Migration been waiting on this one.  Looks like mix of printed elements and lots of stickers. I like the pond effect and roof top sushi bar.

This set's so good. My backlog of must-buys is growing even further. I guess I need to sell more stuff to make room and money.

Lots of stuff going on in this set. I don't know anything about Ninjago and I want it!

I really like it but I feel it's overpriced. You could buy two modulars for €300. It feels like they're trying to bump up the piece count with hundreds of tiny pieces. I'm hoping to see it at 30% off somewhere before I'd bite, like Smyths had with Airjitzu thingy. Lovely set though and very unique.

@tractorboy actually, I believe it is very tall and a eurobricks member said it will be much taller than regular modular buildings.

8/16 VIP early access confirmed

there is a new to me 360 video can't get it to load

I really do like the looks of this set! There looks to be lots of creative build techniques!

My kids really want this set, but the wife has already put dibs on it for the modular cabinet....

It has pins to attach to a modular. Nice touch.

Nice set.  Definitely a double VIP or more purchase for me.  After spending some time here I never buy anything day 1.

This set has been sighted for sale at the LEGO booth at SDCC. Prepare for the QFLLers to post on eBay (there's already one)

The first review is up.

Few interesting things despite the fact that it's absolutely beautiful!
It's a third largest LEGO construction in history.
Many many new pieces in new color, some of them are extremely rare.
The Bricklink Value Per Piece may quadruple the RPP price.

Not a huge fan of Ninjago theme and movie, albeit the mixture of far Asian steam punk style with futuristic "total recall" resemblance makes it a no brainer to me.

I will wait for JANGBRiCKS' review. Not a big fan of BrickVault's, they aren't as in-depth.

It looks stunning though!

I have never paid any attention to Ninjago before but the movie looks really good and this for me is a must buy, first day I think,  looks like a great build.

Going to start this one tonight. Seal codes 23R7. It has 2 white boxes inside one with bags 1-4 multiples of each I will inventory them later for reference. Box 2 has bags 5-8 and bags 9-16 were loose in the bottom of the set box. Three instruction manuals sealed in a plastic bag without cardboard, 1 for each floor, I like how they highlighted the floor in color on the corresponding manual. They are similar to ideas manuals and have information on the designers, set, minifigs and history of Ninjago. Two sticker sheets, one unnumbered bag with various larger elements and one 32x32 dark grey base plate.

Lo, I was thinking the same.

if you buy 4 do they fit together as a massive square one ?

On the sticker sheet, I just noticed the coming soon movie poster for Galidor. Also the one all the way over to the left feels like a reference to "The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms".

Finally got around to starting this last night. Did bags 1&2, no stickers yet, KAI and  KONRAD figs with his fishing boat. A couple of elements in new colors to me they may be in some mixels or friends sets that I haven't built and one new element that is covered. Took me longer then expected because I had to line up all the imprints on the translucent light blue elements but looks nice. Plan on bags 3& 4 tonight.

Level 1 "The Old World" bags 1-6 completed. It has 2 removable modules and is mostly flat colors to give it that rustic look. Lego still can not produce dark brown in an instruction manual properly so that you can easily discern what element needs to be used.

This will be a day one, I just wish they had the fishing store VIP as well :(
