Hoth Bricks are saying this is going to be a 2017 D2C exclusive and the largest Minecraft set so far. Probably a 2H release.

Bricksets have put up the box details and it is a big boy. 58x48x17 cm 5kg ie Death Star size!

I guess Lego Minecraft sells better than we knew, and good enough for Lego to take the plunge and produce a big expensive Minecraft set!

I know the smaller sets do well, already out of Ender Dragons and the Mine did well over the last 2 Christmases. Don´t think The Village is a super seller though and have doubts about these massive Ninjago and Minecraft playsets.

99% sure this will be the early access to VIPs set in June.

A charged Creeper and a little bat, neat. There must be many play features to go with the ton of parts. I imagine the beefy instructions to have plenty of inspirational side builds too.

Looks like it's easily 2500-3000 pieces. I'm expecting a full Mine on the back, judging from the tracks and the Mine shaft supports on the left.

but the minecraft blocks are tad bigger than usual brick from SW themed sets. That's why it's hard to estimate the amount comparing straight those two

if the set is 10lbs, it should mean a lot of bricks and plates.

Per LEGO's instagram post, the ABS in this thing is 3.36kg

 

That bat is a cool little build - two minifig neck-brackets mounted on a 1x1 brick with studs on 4 sides, sideways.

Basically Minecraft theme.
