Why on Earth would that turn off people outside the USA ? This is a piece of history, when Humanity showed what it can do if it focuses on a single goal and put our vast resources into achieving it! President John F. Kennedy announced in 1961 that before the decade was finished mankind would put a man on the moon. It was a huge undertaking, but America did it, and the entire world was witnessing the Moon landing in awe and excitement. It was not just a huge achievement for the USA but for Mankind, as Neil Armstrong so eloquently said when he took his small step down the ladder onto the surface of the Moon!

Too bad I was born in 1971 and so I wasn't yet around to witness it. But knowing that a human walked on the Moon still fills me as a fellow human with pride! And now I just hope to live until the first human sets foot on Mars...  

To answer the question directly: those words of the United States of America belong on this historic spacecraft and I wouldn't want it any other way!

LEGO has teased another image from the LEGO Ideas Apollo 11 Saturn-V Rocket set but this time it is the Apollo Lunar Module sitting in the background. Last week, part of the Saturn-V Rocket was shown off so it looks like LEGO is staying true to the project and including everything so far that was proposed.

The LEGO Ideas Apollo 11 Saturn-V Rocket will be landing soon in June.

I hope that only a "Mars Rover" amount are made and that it's 100% exclusive to LEGO only with strict limits. If only... it'll be stacked up high at your local butchers, greengrocer, bakers, kebab shop and hairdressers before you know it!

Nice to have the whole Discovery Series and previous NASA sets of the Ideas series... :-)

I have one Mars Rover left which I was considering selling, but probably will hold it now. Can't wait to see this!

Tesco announced their annual profits today and they were significantly up. There was however a note to their accounts that their biggest customer was no longer buying from them, so profits would be well down in the coming year.

On the other hand, they are going to be able to make a 90% cut in warehouse and customer service staff costs.

Any Ideas sets have stickers? I don't remember seeing any. Although I've only built Ecto-1 and the Yellow Submarine.

They also did a weekly teaser shot for the Caterham Seven set for three weeks. 

So we can expect the official unveiling of the Apollo 11 Saturn V set next week.
