It was the first thing I said, and she said "uh huh". When I got the total, I asked if she put in the discount and she said "uh huh". Maybe she didn't understand me? Maybe they are scored poorly for calling a manager if they need help? All I know is that if I had a special offer, I would make sure ALL my people knew how to ring it up. smh
December 7, 201510 yr I'm always more surprised by the amount of associates who don't know about the freebie offers.
December 7, 201510 yr The worst I've had was when I bought several dozen polybags and a few $9.99 seasonals, and didn't notice they didn't give me my 10% TRUTH on top of my coupons, since I was in a rush. I brought back my receipt, to get the 10% back, but both the [not new] cashier and a manager-type person said the only way to do it was to do a return/rebuy and they had to type in the UPC/item #s for all of the polybags, one by one, over and over. I asked if they could just do a 10% adjustment on the whole receipt (which is what another TRU has done previously), and they said no. They started in typing the item #s, and it was taking about 30 seconds for each, so I asked them if it would just be easier to grab one of the polybags and have them scan it instead, to which they said "good idea!". Then they said they wouldn't be able to apply my coupons again (?) and after she told me how much money I'd be getting back (barely anything) and I saw the receipt, I realized they never entered in the seasonal sets. I gave up at that point and just thanked them. At that store, I always have to tell them they have a quantity option for items, instead of having to scan each and every one. Some of them say they don't and some eventually find the option. Ever since that day, I'll always do the math so I know if my total is wrong, no matter how much of a rush I'm in. December 7, 201510 yr One thing to keep in mind when they do not apply the 10% off and CS does a return/repurchase, is if you do too many of those you may be locked out from returning items or being able to do the return/repurchase for the savings. This kept happening to me almost every thursday during the 2014 Bricktober and the head CS would always take care of the issue, as soon as I walked towards her with the receipt she knew what happened. Then she told me about the max return policy, but she never gave the magical number of returns. just a little FYI

I figured it was a return status when they kept asking for my ID. So dumb...
December 8, 201510 yr How does it work using the 20% and 15% on multiple items in a transaction? Does the 20% automatically get applied to the higher priced item? Or is there a particular order you need to scan the items/coupons in?
December 8, 201510 yr Author Yes. 20% gets attached to the most expensive, and the 15% to the 2nd most expensive. At least, in my experience.

December 9, 201510 yr Hit up two TRU today, one was out of Hulk polybag. (Or claimed to be) - The other had about 60 in a bin, plus more at the desk. A couple interesting notes, C3PO Polybag is ringing up at $5.99 if you have them in your stores, which I found pretty laughable. Also, one store had literally 50 Benny's Spaceship. Not sure if they have some big promo coming up... But 50.
December 9, 201510 yr I used a rewards certificate on an online order that got suspended. I tried to call, but spent 40 minutes on hold and had to drop, and was out of town and unable to call back. Order got cancelled. Will the rewards certificate be restored automatically, or do I have to call to get them to manually do it?

Will the rewards certificate be restored automatically, or do I have to call to get them to manually do it? Using Rewards on the TRU site is like playing Russian Roulette with 5 chambers full. The site will find some way to get your order cancelled, be it from inaccurate stock levels, credit card issues when there shouldn't be any, or maybe just to screw with you. Their site makes Lego SAH look good. I've placed three orders in the past two weeks and all of them have been cancelled or suspended. Anyways, you're going to have to call them and get a temporary code for the Rewards you lost. They'll say that it's a one time courtesy but I've had to do it a few times and guess what? The temp code is only good online. Yeah I've had to do it twice before for the same code. It's a real pain in the rear. Good luck.
December 9, 201510 yr Speaking of using rewards, does anyone know if you do a store pickup & don't pick it up, can you still get your rewards money back (after calling CS)?
December 9, 201510 yr Looks like Star Wars MTT (75058) will be on sale for $74.99 next week. Edited December 9, 201510 yr by brad4815 wrong price

December 9, 201510 yr Gotcha. I know my store only had a couple on the shelf so unless they get a big restock for this sale it's probably better off getting a couple tomorrow and getting the Hulk poly instead of waiting until next Thursday.
December 9, 201510 yr Speaking of using rewards, does anyone know if you do a store pickup & don't pick it up, can you still get your rewards money back (after calling CS)? Here's my dilemma. I ordered 5 items to be picked up in store using rewards. I received the "order is ready for pick up" email. But only one item was filled. If I pick up the order, I forfeit the rest of the rewards, correct?
December 9, 201510 yr Anyone know if there's a way to track TRU and FAO Schwarz gift cards transactions? I have a few $500 gift cards and I don't know if the 0 balance is correct or not...I'm pretty sure I still have around $50 on it, but it's missing...especially for FAO Schwarz, it's all zeroed out. I'm positive I have about $100 remaining in them from raise.com. Edited December 9, 201510 yr by Lego_Monsters
