At least it looks like the $25 GC will work on a Lego set on 12/1 - I don't see any exclusions on the $25 GC I was handed after buying $100 in Blu-Rays and TMNT toys for my son

  • Those clearance stickers probably have a small exclusion list on them that includes LEGO Construction Sets.

  • Gotta love it when the manager of the local TRU calls you and asks if you want all the leftovers from the BB-8 build....

  • I know it's a hassle but you need to pre-calculate your purchases when applying multiple discounts before heading to the register. More often than not, the cashier will screw up the series of button p

That would be the day when things go down the drain

I had a moment of (very very mild compared to everything else going on in the world) panic in the car on the way home.  I wouldn't have put it past them to do that!

I did a bunch of price matches in getting up to the 100 dollars and obtaining my freebies to get the 25 dollar gift card. Was rejected on gift card because of the price matches according to cashier. Legit reason?

Did you use LEGO?

Lol yes of course. I'm not one to read the fine print... hell I can barely read after a beer or 2.

TRU fine print will get ya

Does anyone know what the LEGO Star Wars poster that they are handing out tomorrow looks like? with the make and take looking so lame, I don't know that it's worth going, but if they are handing out a LEGO TLJ or RO poster, I'd have to go.

Ymmv. Today my 30 dollars in rewards applied for Lego (BB8). Small TRU Express in South Florida.

Looks like 41109 Heatlake Airport is finally OOS on TRU.com, should be hot on amazon leading up the Christmas for those who stocked up

I was going to buy one last week with points, but then thought this will be here forever... next time.
Fail.

Today was a sobering reminder that LEGO no longer qualifies for TRUTH.  I actually had already forgotten about that since I haven't shopped at TRU on Thursdays in a few weeks.

Having said that I was successful in getting the $10 promo gift card with my purchase.  My $75+ purchase included a mix of LEGO and non-LEGO items.  Don't know if you need both to trigger the promo or if it will work on an all LEGO purchase despite the exclusion in the coupon terms.

My two certificates (generated today and about two weeks ago) do not have the exclusion of Lego anymore:

*Excludes Build-A-Bear, Gift Cards, SquareTrade Protection Plans, phone orders, all fees, and shipping.

I talked to my "regular" TRU cashier the other day, and she was very surprised about the LEGO exemption and said she just looked at someone's rewards the other day, and it didn't mention it. So apparently, it's back off.

Related - Does anyone know if you can pay with Rewards and say, use the coupon for the $10 gift card? Or does it need to be actual payment for $75 to get the gift card?

Ummm, Lego is excluded from the gift card offer. Yes, that's right, we're back to square one. :)
