hey guys...sorry if this is the wrong forum...I finally gave in and signed up for TRU card. The manager told me that he will price match any Walmart clearance prices (if in stock in app) today if I signed up so I did. he matched killer croc sewer smash for $40. do you guys have any other clearance prices near your walmart that I can look up on app. My phone died so that's why I'm back home charging but I have a couple of more hrs before he leaves so I told him i'll be back.

Nope, coupons don't stack anyway, but this is just clearance.

Not valid until Friday, so only TRUTH covered is 2/23.  ?

There is a multi use 20% off coupon that came out today. Is there a program that can convert the one I got into an Apple Pay scannable barcode?

This is only good for items on clearance, their price ends in 0 or 8.

You can have multiple with 40% off in the same transaction. I bought 4 polybags & 4 minifigures last Fri and 4 of them were 40% off.
Also, online, I just added 4 sets to test and 2 are marked 40% off in the cart.

I don't think I've ever spent as much in a store as I did today at TRU. They had all of the new sets on the shelves that haven't been released yet (Star wars - come out tomorrow, speed champions - haven't found a date, Technic BMW motorcycle). Some really nice looking sets!

The best deals were the batmobile polybags and minifigures, but the manager let me use my 20% clearance coupon today since I finally signed up for a TRU card. Didn't grab too much on clearance, but was better than nothing.

For those of us that use the 'put $5 on TRU credit card and the rest on GCs to get the 8% points + 10% TRUTH', my store's asst manager told me that they were told this week that have a new policy (or they need to enforce the current company policy), that the credit card has to cover 100% of the purchase... Does anyone have any experience with this type of exchange or know the exact store policy?  This is the TRUTH Tactics thread, so what tactics work : ) ?  Thanks!

I put over $1000 on gift cards today and only $48 on my TRU card. They had no problem with it at all.

I haven't bought anything from TRU in months, but I've never had a problem putting $1 on card and then finishing with whatever rewards CC I want to use.  But if your mgr said they were told just last week, I wouldn't know about it.  I actually went to the store today and was going to grab a few sets, but the 20% coupon hasn't been published yet.  I'm still holding out hope it will post before the store closes today.

I suggest that you avoid that manager during checkout. The rest of their untrained employees won't know this policy. But they are trained to stare blankly back at you when you ask for the free promo item, then go off and wander around aimlessly for several minutes trying to find it.
