There's definitely at least 2 different 20% off coupons out there that expires 8/13.

Generally I write the number on a slip of paper I hand over instead of my phone (though in past I've done the phone).

If you ever buy from cardpool, their wallet feature on their app is pretty useful. You can add any gift card to the wallet, not just ones youve purchased from them, and it will generate a barcode for you. You still have to read the pin # but it's much easier this way.
I've found several associates that don't know how to key in a gc, and one who I swear was purposefully keying it carelessly because she was having a bad day.

@donbee thanks, good point! I haven't really used Cardpool so I will have to try. Generally I use Raise with no problems (or eBay). It has been my gripe though that the Raise barcodes in app never scan. That is one reason I have been using written numbers, to avoid the cashier scanning.

Yes this looks like the old version of the coupon. Since it's clipped and not the card glued to the mailer it wouldn't be unique.

I'm a little rusty on my TRU tactics, mostly because regardless of which discount methods I used I always came out of pocket for the remaining balance so I need refreshing. Do rewards come of first or percentage coupons? 

I have  $80 in rewards and a 15% regular priced item, coupons. The management at my local TRU irritated me so much that I won't spend a single dime there but I will redeem my rewards just to let them know I still spend a lot of money with TRU but not at their store.
