Yes, I picked up 3x City Advent Calendars, but they couldn't find the athlete packs. They gave me week 4 Cops and Robbers instead.

Man, last year I was all over the Bricktober stuff. I haven't stepped foot in a TRU this month. The deals seem weaker and the minifig packs don't thrill me.

I agree. I'm going once per week because I regret not getting all the minifig packs from...2013? The first two this year are my favorite, the last two not so much, but I still want them.

These are great gifts. I can't take my son with me or I'll lose the promo.

I wanted more of last weeks (by far my favorite), but my TRU didn't make it to TRUTH (week 1 did) so I only grabbed 2 early week. About to go get 2 or 3 today...not sure yet

when i went this morning at 10am (opening) there was line at the door.  

 

I really struggle to find anything worth buying... the last one I visited was doing 20% off City, Super Heroes, and Princess so I picked up 2 city advent calendars and a snowman box. Usually it's just Ninjago or sometimes no additional discount... just terrible.

Last week some stores were honoring minifigs for the blind bag B2GOF. That would have been good for the promo. YMMV

Price matched a few trains today.  Got the Musicians Bricktober and a First Order General poly with each one.  We're going to build the Holiday Train this year, so I needed all the power functions, plus I get the extra track and wheels to build our own holiday train cars with.  With the price match, extras, and 20% off GCs, it was a no-brainer for me.

LUCKY! You have a very lenient TRU. Per store policy, mine won't give promos with PM and will only sell the FO Generals at $5 per.

Mine came a minute before my emailed receipt from my purchase today. Maybe that's one way you can get "targeted"
