This does look cool and I'd love to chase the cats around the garden with it!

I hope they include a bunch of the rubber studs to increase traction, else these will be quite slip and slidy!

I wonder how sturdy those tracks are going to be?

The main issue is the lack of grip. It´s worth getting some elastic bands tied to them to add traction.

Is it not the same tracks that are used in other technic sets like 8275 Bulldozer and Excavator? Those tracks were pretty good I thought

Yeh those big wide ones. That would do the job.

Or place a booger on each segment?

same as on 42042. Spoiler. Half the part count is tracks.

I really like it but im worried it will be slow and lame like most Lego remote controlled vehicles, hope I'm wrong. I'd love to install a camera on it and chase animals and such.... ;)

I wonder what price point Lego will want for this?

80 German euros, 90 Spanish and 75 GBP, which sounds like a right royal rip off.

I reckon £79.99 due to the PF.

Nope, 75  GBP it is. Most Technic guys will already have the parts to build one - 42030 Volvo or 9398 are good starting points with 42042 for the tracks.

£37.49 on Amazon soon after?

Prolly. Tamiya or similar make way beter RC vehicles for the same or less. I guess it could also mean there is no RC flagship again next year.

We have a couple of the 8183 Racers.  If it's as fast as that one, I'd be happy.
