Asda are very good I find. Even with the click and collect stuff, the boxes are really sturdy and can easily be kept for sending stuff back out when you sell it.

Where are you ordering from? The site just tells me they can't ship Lego outside of the UK.

Click and collect to a Belfast store, I'm up there regularly for work.

One Day Flash Sale (UK Only) MF at £149.99. Be Quick.

  • One thing I have noticed is that sets are plateauing at "a" price at n months after retiring. 10197 is around £300, it still has not increased in the 18 months since I sold my last one. 10211

  • Though this version totally blows the original away (and is from around where I live):

Ah right cheers. Probably just as well, this falling pound makes a lot of things quite tempting. What I really need is more buyers.

Dr Who on Tesco Direct for £33.25

Don't have any myself but at this price I might buy one to display.

I hate Asda, they keep taking my money off me. Ok, I get Lego sets at great prices for that money, but I want to think I have some self control.

Sadly, I have none.

Asda called. Do you want any cheap Ecto 1's 32.97 or Mystery Machines. 21.97?

I actually skipped the Ecto-1's as you can get them cheaper from Lego with promos

Don't forget Dr Who, WALL-E, Haunted Lighthouse & Claas Xerion (which I'll build as I don't invest in technic).

I like the Tardis bit but that's about it.  With the amount of random lego I have it won't look out of place!

Actually Dr Who is only £29.97 on Asda

Damn!

My sarcasm must be way too subtle today, no one is getting it

Thanks to a certain Irishman for me hammering my PayPal account again today. Yet another C&C order with Asda! ;-)

Dare I say it 75094 is down to £55.97 on Asda, I actually have two - one built and another I forgot about.  For £55 I might buy another and build my Endor set!

Yeah saw the Dr Who afterwards.  39 left in stock at the minute.

Claas Xerion well worth a purchase at that price.  I nearly leapt on Architecture Capitol Building at £60 but remembered it's on the xmas list that gets distributed lol.

I'm now done I'll leave those 39 for others but, I'll grab them if still available tomorrow ;-)

Even though I don't invest in Technic, I think the CLAAS XERION could be the dark horse of the theme as the not-quite-the-largest sets have often been good performers. If I keep thinking about this set, I'll have to give Asda another bashing!

Long time to hold them for though.  It's the 4203# number range that should retire this year.

Sorry off topic, but anyone got any good suggestions for spending €5.01 or more to bring an order above the free delivery/london bus threshold? I was buying Wedding Favour Sets and Birthday Table Decorations for €7.99, but I just had an order cancelled for ordering too many of them. Who knew there was a limit of 2 of those you could buy.

I got the same problem with the seasonals a few weeks ago. They seem to be holding on to their limits now :(

If the Christmas ones were out I'd pick up some of them pity they haven't released them yet.

Noticed there is a Piggy Bank on the SAH site, what about buying that? Think its £10.99, a bit more than what you want to spend but its something different for the collection if you dont have it :)

I've just noticed that Tesco are offering 1500 points (£15 worth) when you spend over £75. What I do is get just above £75 and then order again. It's of no value to me as I'm already at the maximum 30,000 points!

Please don't put this on HUKD so that some of us can benefit before the riff-raff do ;-)

It's only on lego city too isn't it?

Maybe now but, you sometimes have to be quick. I got on as soon as I noticed and got my other half to order 2x WALL-E and it gave her the 1500 points.
