Ok thx - i read something about sensors in 60052 but they r not necessary?

Sensors? The PF system is an output-only system, so there are no sensors (which are inputs) in the system at all. (For the purists, yes the IR remote can be considered an input but it merely serves to regulate the output power).

One Day Flash Sale (UK Only) MF at £149.99. Be Quick.

  • One thing I have noticed is that sets are plateauing at "a" price at n months after retiring. 10197 is around £300, it still has not increased in the 18 months since I sold my last one. 10211

  • Though this version totally blows the original away (and is from around where I live):

I got a package today from uk amazon which was a bit damaged, how to deal with it ? I uploaded some photos to the Packaging Feedback form of that order, is that enough ?

contact them via chat. They will either replace it for you or give you a discount to keep it. Don´t abuse the system or they will ban you, though.

I've just used Flubit for the first time and it just got me a 60051 for £54.33 ;-)  It may be for a bashed up box but, I'm parting it out anyway.

Flubit purchases tend to come in great condition.

Jadlam have all had perfect items and quick turnaround.  Flubit'ed the Dr Who set (against £35 price on Tesco Direct) and paid £30.44 - to find the one sent by Tesco Direct (perfect condition) :-)

Hopefully they won't be cancelled.. I've lost out a few times when the deals have been good.

Edit - Basically had a moan about the Boots website, but it was the mobile phone link that didn't work on my home PC properly. My mistake, slightly.

Since Boots only allowed a maximum of 3 Star Wars calendars (it didn't like 99!), I also ordered 3 Friends calendars and used code VC70 (from HKUD comments) for £70 spend which stacks on top giving yet another 10% off!

Meaning...

£13.50 for Star Wars calendars

£10.80 for Friends calendars

Be quick as I'm getting mates to place a lot of additional orders right now!

November is going to be a "flipping" good month!

Cracker deal, going to give this a go - never dipped my toes into the quick flip market yet as anything I have bought has been long term investments :)

Amazon UK are now limiting some special offers e.g. Poe´s x wing to Prime members. Is this new?

Some lego sets are now limited to 3 to 5, but you can do multiple orders after a couple of days / week etc

Is it new on Poe’s X-wing at £45? Yes.
Is it new in general? no, they’ve done it before, but it is becoming increasingly common.

That's an interesting development. It's definitely new, I bought one the other day when it was reduced to £40 without Prime membership.

Would hate to have to pay for Prime to pick up better deals, for me Amazon would start losing out more to the supermarkets in the UK if they enforce this wholesale.

I find Amazon's buying limits frustrating and it seems that LEGO are enforcing these limits. The beauty of Asda, Tesco & John Lewis is that you can currently order as many sets as you have space for. However, I only think it's a matter of time before they are restricted too. Call me greedy but, I'm just trying to order while amounts are still unrestricted.

I'm an Amazon Prime member anyway so that I can jump on any good deals, it's not a lot to pay for a premium service.

To be fair, they do it with other products too. Probably get complaints when things sell out immediately. B+M shops always have the advantage of being more permissive (remembering fondly the three trolleys of Town Halls and Fire Brigades I got a while back) but it makes sense to limit online shopping, even just for the security risk of someone useing a stolen credit card. I mean, how many Death Stars does one really need? Sometimes they actually do us a favour and save us from ourselves. Then there is the issue of the cost of returns. All those Simpson Houses you sent back, right? :P

I kept 2 Simpsons Houses back in a factory box - just in case but, I now wish they went back also. It's a shame that there's isn't a LEGO store anywhere near me otherwise I'd make non-VIP cash purchases on anything thats strictly limited. But, you're right, it does save us from ourselves sometimes and little Johnny & Jenny need a present to open, right?

Or you could go to this place called a shop where you can buy all the sets on the shelf whilst also checking box quality.

LOL - Yes, I often perform box quality surveys at John Lewis & Smyths and have been known to pass over my credit card on occasion ;-) I'm on first name terms with my local John Lewis as I often clear the shelves of Dr Who sets.

Boots order for Star Wars Advent Calendar cancelled after review process? First time I e ordered anything from them and only went for 3!

Tesco apparently now have John Lewis gift cards as well. 75 extra Clubcard points for every £25 you buy until the 16th

Just checked my account and it says my order is being processed, first time I have ordered anything from Boots. Fingers crossed it gets through.

How do they address you, though? Mr Reseller Scum  or Our Salvation?
