I can honestly say I spent a F*** load in the last 2 months on Lego, that my better half is gonna have a stroke! Could have wrote what you have myself. It's really the best time of the year to load up as the retailing are all squabbling with each other for our business. Swore I was done for the year and today bought 10 Wall-E's, 7 GB ECTO-1 and a Passenger train at £55 for the power function to fit the new Winter Train. I think I'm busted for a while.

September 29, 20169 yr I still have lots to learn, I bought loads of mystery mansions few months back thinking I got a great price and now can get the same from asda. I think in the future i am definitely going to wait until I know a item is going to retire before loading up. I picked up a spaceport at same price 2 months ago and thought that was the cheapest had ever seen it. I think wall-e and ecto-1 will not retire until next year so too soon to stock up. Most likely big bang theory is next ideas set to go as it is displaying same characteristics as Dr who. Edited September 29, 20169 yr by Mhd747

Most likely but you may make some money on them if they sell out at retail before Christmas (but then again perhaps not) if your like me who like to throw Lego in the attic but hates climbing up to bring them back down again.
September 29, 20169 yr No deals on JW or no stock left? That´s where the money is this Xmas in my mind. Dinosaurs > Scooby.

When you definitely know an item is going to retire is when it already has and you've left it too late. If you were happy with the price when you bought the last lot, then be even happier with your latest buy in price.

September 29, 20169 yr All these recent deals are crippling me !!! I know we shouldn't complain but with Asda and Smyths running there deal twice and Amazon doing some price matching I have massively over spent this month !! Literally been smuggling the sets from my car to the attic whilst the wife is asleep !!!

Seems to be very little JW in stock anywhere online at least, I haven't seen much better than the Smyths 20% off for that line, so picked up a bit of that a couple of weeks ago. JW > Scooby short to mid term, but I think Scooby could do better longer term. There'll be more dinosaurs soon enough. I was also doing that as well as I get everything delivered to work (if I also made the mrs stay in to sign for the parcels she'd go ape), but when your desk area starts to look like an Amazon warehouse it was only a matter of time until my boss asked me to take some home !! ;o)

I´d make sure to keep enough lead in my pencil because this is only the start of the best buying period of the year. No point in blowing all the budget now on marginal sets and missing out on the gems/sure fire winners.

I also bought just one Passenger Train just so that I can part it out and use the motor for the Xmas train. I also went big on WALL-E and Ecto1. Good luck! ;-)

September 29, 20169 yr Spaceport already done. I snoozed too much! 20% off on RO stuff for tomorrow is equally as tempting as triple VIP and a free poly.

September 30, 20169 yr got mine as well from Lego LEGO Shop at Home Italy (used the IT10 code) (this will go into the secret stash that wife does not know about, until I will resell it... or build it)
