One Day Flash Sale (UK Only) MF at £149.99. Be Quick.

  • One thing I have noticed is that sets are plateauing at "a" price at n months after retiring. 10197 is around £300, it still has not increased in the 18 months since I sold my last one. 10211

  • Though this version totally blows the original away (and is from around where I live):

Smyths have it in stock now and they're 20% sale should be in a couple of weeks.

Bloody hell you've got a keen eye.  It's only a couple of days since i last looked on Smyths site and it wasn't there then.

Toys r us UK have some pricier sets with unadvertised reductions.

Sandcrawler currently listed at £199 - instore only and slim pickings but I managed to get one reserved locally for myself.

Porsche GT3 @ £229

GBHQ @ £249

Tower Bridge @ £189

Good looking out pal, just ordered one fairly locally. Cheers for putting it out there. There are plenty of of people who would just leave this in the 'what did you buy today thread' without a link or place where it was bought. You're a good egg ;)

I have concerns about the Porsche being available everywhere meaning that it's far from exclusive and destined for poor post EOL performance like the Unimog. However, it's a superb set and I do have one (no more) in my collection. I miss the days of TRULY exclusive sets like the Mars Rover and Research Institute.

I'll be keeping an eye on my local Smyths for the forthcoming sale - thanks for mentioning it ;-)

I'd expect all sc's and soh's to disappear by the end of the day.

Yep, to be honest, I wasn't planning to get any Sandcrawlers at the moment as I was hoping for some kind of discount, and here it is (only grabbing one though at the moment from the Midlands area, so don't blame me if someone orders the lot from your region)   ;)

Thanks.

Flubitted GBHQ for £235 (own build) and 2 x SC for £192 to put aside (also SoH for the same).

That's my spending blown for the month. Now to chase up the person buying the last of my 75054's to pay for this :-)

I miss them real exclusives too. Do not forget EEE. A winner as well. Should have bought so many more of them.

did your order go through or get cancelled?

I've always had bad luck when buying anything from flubit, missed out on loads of deals from amazon when i first started out as thought would get cheaper from flubit, then day later order would get cancelled

Just had two emails cancelling both SC and SoH. I'm annoyed but it wasn't unexpected as I've had others in these sort of circumstances cancelled previously.

It was worth a punt as there was nothing in stock at TRU for 80 miles.

Smyths toys in UK running vouchers this weekend

5 off >20

10 off >50

20 off >100

See below link

Euro guys watch for Amazon UK price matching popping up over next few days.

That means batcave down to 164 tempting

The extra £20 off on the Batcave and Temple of Airjitzu makes them tempting on top of the 20% off.

I apologise for my earlier Smyths rant about not giving vouchers to their Irish customers, they were just a bit slow with it :)

Just having a look through the website, its a shame a lot of the smaller items are all back up to RRP, ie. all the lower priced star wars sets etc.

Some of the exclusives are worth a punt, EV at £20 off is food for thought, as is the indominus rex at £80.  Also, if you can add another £5 worth of minifigures to the order to reach £100 the falcon works out at £75 !!

Regards the bat cave, I agree, VERY tempting at that price . . . .

Hulk busters are down to £16 so ordered a few of those and cancelled the £21 ones I had on back order at Amazon.  plus batcave and pet shop for personal builds. Helps that lego is on free delivery over £15 too.

Tempted to grab Slave I's but still too early to stock up on those. EV's I stocked up on already.

Why are you buying the Pet Shop when in 2 weeks time it'll be 20% off?

Remember with the Slave 1's, just because it might still be around in a year, doesn't mean Smyths will still have stock. I left Sandcrawlers behind during the 20% off sale thinking they would still be around for this year's sale, they haven't retired yet, but Smyths haven't had stock all year.

Part of me wonders whether the full 20% off sale is going to happen this year when they have already put out 2 offers so close together. For the sake of £4 i wasnt risking it.

I know what you mean on the Slaves. But I expect they'll at the very least have the same offer on after xmas if the 20% doesn't happen.

For the sake of £4 I think it makes sense to buy the pet shop now.  That voucher takes the price down to £100 as opposed to £96 at 20%.

Why take the risk of it not going in the sale or Smyths not having the stock for the sake of £4 ?!?!

Well for me the saving on a Slave 1 in the 20% sale is €42, versus a €20 voucher, so I'll be picking up a couple.

Well it's a €10 difference over here and I worry that we'll need every cent/pence of discount on the Pet Shop to get the profits we want when it does go.

If there's any Doctor Strange fans the voucher on top of the 20% already off has this set down go €23/£19.

It's not for investment, just personal build while it's still available, because, you know, one of these days it might actually retire

TRU UK have 76042 Helicarrier for £215. Delivery available.

I do want to build one, so I can live with playing TRU packaging roulette.
