It was Sprucefield and they didn't even blink an eye matching Amazon. The funny thing is, I think if I had gone with an Amazon third party seller price, they'd have matched it no problem.

They may do. But you'll have to keep a very close eye on the site because as soon as they do they'll go OOS.

I can only see 1 in stock at Milton Keynes... 

Good spot, visited 4 Smyths and picked up 3 Ferrari Trucks and 3 Burj Khalifias. 

One of the €50 Ninjago sets was reduced to €20 too, only saw one and the box was totalled, but worth watching for.

Just got back from my local Smyths, was showing no stock online of the Ferrari truck, but I new I'd seen one on the shelves recently as my little lad had been asking for it, and it was still there priced up at £63.99, so grabbed that and it went through at £30. Also got 2x Berlin and 1x Burj Archi sets whilst I was there, would have been rude not to.

They ship to Italy for 11,95€. The 5€ off code worked for me, so helps with the shipping costs. Ordered a couple of 60095 myself. Great find from the_shy_guy.

I spotted the ninjago but couldn't decide whether it would be in demand.

The way i see it, is if there's a €50 set, then I should be able to get €40 cash on a local site. It keeps the cash flow and profit ticking over and supplements the purchases which I intend to make. The Ferrari Truck wasn't on my wanted list, but it's a €100 set for €50, I'll make money on it.

Got back from work about 2 hours ago and saw the updates in this thread. Jumped straight in the car and went to my 3 local stores. Got 2 Ferrari Trucks, 2 Burj and 2 Berlin. There were a couple of Berlin sets left at Walsall store when I left as the front of the boxes were pretty scratched up (I don't mind a bit of shelf wear, but this was more than that and I won't be keeping them for myself). Thanks again

The 42039 price is great for a personal build. Bought one for around 72 and is a great primary build, secondary build looks good with mods and mocs out there to change it up.

I'm guessing the technic sets in the 4203? range will all be EOL by end of this year.

So you're selling to buyers interested enough to scour a local site but not savvy enough to find their own deals?

Basically, yeah. With a €50 set that's clearanced to €20, generally means it's on it's way out and they're not really going to be able to easily find availablity of the set. If someone sees that the RRP is €50 and they're getting it for €40, they think they get a bargain. I'm happy with turning €20 in to €40 and then that €40 might become a Wall-E or Doctor Who as an example.

A win-win scenario. I think I'm giving the general public more credit than they're due. So is this face-to-face cash sales? Does any set (within reason), if deeply discounted, pique your interest as a quick flip? I'll have to test the waters with my locality using this strategy. Many thanks for your response.
