  • One thing I have noticed is that sets are plateauing at "a" price at n months after retiring. 10197 is around £300, it still has not increased in the 18 months since I sold my last one. 10211

  • Though this version totally blows the original away (and is from around where I live):

Then comment over on HDUK then. Please keep the posts here relevant to Brickpicker.

Posts not relevant to Brickpicker (or to a daily UK deal) may be (or already have been) deleted.

LOL... The TabbyBoy on BP is a different person to the one on HKUD but, I know who it is (I work with her and she DID work for Mattel) as she had the original Tabby cat that we adopted hence my name. HKUD isn't for me anyway as 99.99% of posted deals are either sold out, at non-local stores in a galaxy far far away or often cheaper elsewhere. Apart from the OP, take all comments on HKUD with a pinch of salt and so should you lot. I'll be honest with with you... If I saw a cracking deal, I'd either fill my boots there and then or post it on here, never on HKUD.  If you put deals on HKUD, you let more cats out of the bag which is what some of us could do without.

As far as UK deals go... one place worth looking at is Boots where there's occasional 3-for-2 deals even on already discounted sets that aren't often advertised. I've also bought sets (eg. TB) from Amazon IT and I've never had a problem. I avoid buying on eBay unless it's some numpty selling a desirable set at BIN for RRP or less. I bought an R2-D2 for £130 not long ago within minutes of it being listed. If I was the troll on HKUD then why would I tell you all this? Get your facts right please before slandering fellow members. That's what PERSONAL messages are for if you want to throw your toys out of the pram.

*Le sigh* I wish more people would use the PM feature to keep the crap out of the forums.

Anyways, thanks for clarifying. Hopefully people read your post.

Happy Sunday at Toys'R'US in both Netherlands www.toysrus.nl and Toys'R'Us Germany www.toysrus.de. 15% discount on all Lego, topdeals excluded, and with an order of minimum 3 items.

TRU Germany has the Slave-1 available, amongst others. So it can be had for €175. The UCS Tie Fighter is also elegable for the discount (available as well on the Dutch TRU, unlike the Slave-1). And TRU Germany has Wall-E as well. These sets are all maximum 1 per order.

Minifigs series 14 are available at TRU Netherlands, so it's also possible to order 1 desired item and add 2 minifigs to get the required 3 items.

The Dutch TRU is slim picking...bloody hell. Too bad the DE site doesn't deliver to NL. I would pick up all you mentioned. Btw, the Dutch pricing is higher!!

Intertoys NL has 15% off today, online only.

75050 price is decent, €41 - but sold out.

They used to list Temple of Arjitzu, but not anymore. Otherwise, it's a good discount.

The Simpsons sets (House and Kwik-E-Mart) are available, too. One can also use Mixels as filler items.

As soon as you choose "Niederlande" as Rechnungsaddresse, the option to choose delivery-address is the same as the account-address gets greyed out, and you can't choose a Dutch address for delivery! :(

While the German site specifically states:

Lieferung ins Ausland Eine Lieferung ist in folgende Länder möglich:

  • Niederlande
  • Belgien
  • Polen
  • Italien

I was thinking the same thing but not quite in the same words. Typical rip off Britain!

On the TRU UK site it says:

Do you deliver outside of the UK?

Orders can be placed for home delivery to the UK Mainland, Northern and Republic of Ireland addresses.

At this time, we do not have the ability to have orders placed on Toysrus.co.uk delivered to other international addresses. However, the following websites are able to deliver to more countries:

www.toysrus.com - U.S
www.toysrus.ca - Canada
www.toysrus.fr - France
www.toysrus.de - Germany
www.toysrus.at - Austria
www.toysrus.nl - Netherlands
www.toysrus.ch - Switzerland
www.toysrus.es - Spain
www.toysrus.pt - Portugal
www.toysrus.co.jp - Japan
www.toysrus.com.au - Australia

I think the general RULE of delivery abroad for TRU sites is: Delivery to nearby countries, except if they have their own TRU site.

So, TRU UK also delivers to Ireland because Ireland doesn't have their own TRU site. TRU DE also delivers to Belgium, Poland and Italy. TRU NL also delivers to Belgium.

Belgians are the real lucky ones here because they can use deals from TRU NL, TRU DE and TRU France since all those TRU sites deliver to Belgium as well !

Even when they do have a discount theyre never in stock. Not near me, anyway. Glad some people get bargains. I dont want to be in the EU, as clearly we still do not get lego bargains ;p

I'm up in t'North where we've not got 2 ha'pennies to rub together never mind spending on t'Lego ,  so usually stock levels are quite good

Currently £20 off £100 spend on selected Amazon warehouse items.

Some Lego sets in the warehouse toys and games section that are eligible. I just picked up a 'LEGO Architecture Studio' which was listed at £100.03, so just eligible for the £20 discount and then also had a £7 code from the Amazon gift card purchase offer which I could use also, to make it £73.03 all in....so about half RRP. I'd nearly bought when it was recently reduced to £109ish new at Amazon, but couldn't resist the with the extra discount off.

Currently the Ecto-1 and TBBT sets at galeria-kaufhof.de are discounted by 10%.

The Newslettercoupon (-10%) or the PaybackCoupon (-15% "Vorteil3871) will bring in another discount. So these are available for:

21108 Ecto-1:  44,99E - 10% = 40,49E or with payback for 44,99E - 15% = 38,24E
21302 BigBang: 54,99E - 10% = 49,49E or with payback for 44,99E - 15% = 46,74E

Toys'R'Us Netherlands currently runs a 20% discount on all LEGO (minimum purchase of €30), valid until March 21st.

Just when I thought the UCS Tie Fighter I bought last Sunday for €170 was a good deal... Now I could buy one for €160 !

And Ewok Village with discount comes up to €201 (instead of €255).

Tydirum Shuttle for €80 (instead of €100).

Simpson's House and Kwik E-Mart also on discounted to €160 instead of €200.

Anyone know if Toys R Us in the UK are likely to have any good deal periods going on? It makes me very jealous if I'm honest seeing good deals going on in other countries :)

Haven't seen anything explicit across the board, then again I'm a relatively new freebie but have seen occasional one off short term discounts on individual sets. Recently they did 33% off ecto 1; £30 off Tower Bridge. Both which I acted upon. They currently have £30 off a helicarrier and have had on for a while so I'm guessing still not enough to get people interested

Add up discount by a cashbacksite and a possible creditcard discount and that is one sweet reduction!

Ordered an Ewok village.
