I've just had an email saying that the package will be delivered tomorrow, so looks like it managed to make it through.

Mine arrived safely today although I think it had been held in an unheated warehouse - the shipping box was a lot 'softer' than usual but the contents look fine.  The promos are brilliant - 30628 is considerably larger than I'd expected.  Sold prices on Ebay are holding at around £50 delivered, but presumably they'll drop a little when more orders arrive.  40448 seems to be a steady £20+ so I might bundle mine with 10260 - but still a nice little extra.

One Day Flash Sale (UK Only) MF at £149.99. Be Quick.

  • One thing I have noticed is that sets are plateauing at "a" price at n months after retiring. 10197 is around £300, it still has not increased in the 18 months since I sold my last one. 10211

  • Though this version totally blows the original away (and is from around where I live):

Mine too. The Astronomy tower and Ideas Car were a bit crushed unfortunately, but I bought them for personal build so I'll only flatten the boxes anyway. Not sure whether I want to keep 30628 or not.

uk folk, anyone else noticed how corner garage is constantly out of stock everywhere for months on end. anyone know why?

Yes it's frustrating. I've been waiting for it to be discounted before buying it, and I don't think there's been a single decent offer since it was released 2 years ago...

Keep snoozing and you might not get any at the end of the day. I placed orders at multiple places for Diner last year and I had only a small proportion of them actually sent to me.

For you UK folks, how does the rest of the EU amazons work now do you have to pay any additional tax or its the same?

It's next for sure.  Assembly Square is an anniversary set so may linger until 20th anniversary; but both could go together

I'm started accumulating both sets slowly. When we hit Q3/Q4 when things become clearer then hit even more. I have nothing much to lose at this point buying these two sets, we just went into another lock down and I can do QFLL while buying them. Even bookshops are quite scare and getting a premium.

I have just been trying to figure this out... my current understanding (no one should hold me to this)

< £135/€150, no change and no charges

> £135/€150, it looks like they take off local VAT and add on an estimated import duty (which looks to be 25%), if it turns out to be less you get a refund. What i can't see is what i should expect import duties to be, may need to phone HMRC...

I'm just trying to replace my Razorcrest that I let go before xmas at £100 profit. In stock for 5 mins at a time. frustrating

Thoughts on the latest deals offered on Amazon UK but fulfilled by Amazon EU? Seem to be some reasonable deals but delivery experience is very mixed (seems to be higher %age damaged) and return process a pain. I’m steering towards only using them for smaller sets with lower risk due to damage. Thoughts?

make sure you tick 'gift' it will come in a box. if you are obsessed over mint boxes you will drive yourself mad. the longer you do this, the less you care about minor damage.

there is a way around it, but not very ethical.

Big instore discounts at Asda, 80%+, small and medium sets. E.g Ninjago Avatar Pods £1.12 each, Creator Monster Truck £2.25

Anyone flying from the UK have a look in WH Smith. Minifigures series discounted to £1 and DC Minifigures £2. Stansted is now cleared, I repeat, Stansted has been cleared

Think I know what you mean & I’ll always use the trick if I want to keep the item & have it in pristine condition

For some reason, postage rates from amazon uk have gone up quite a bit for shipping to Switzerland. It used to be 4.99gbp or 7.99gbp for priority but now I'm forced to do a 14.99gbp option. Looks like I can only do large orders now to make it worth my while.

FYI I had an order of 30 sets from Very.co.uk cancelled due to their policy of selling only for personal use and risk it might not be only for personal use. Not clear what number is the limit though...
