One Day Flash Sale (UK Only) MF at £149.99. Be Quick.

  • One thing I have noticed is that sets are plateauing at "a" price at n months after retiring. 10197 is around £300, it still has not increased in the 18 months since I sold my last one. 10211

  • Though this version totally blows the original away (and is from around where I live):

Might be the quantity you ordered, I know someone who got a call from Argos accusing them of being a business, they cancelled their orders also.

Probably this. As an update, the two I ordered came through fine (along with the two 42082s I ordered).

What I don't understand is, if Argos don't want resellers buying 20 copies of a set, why the hell do they allow those item limits in the first place? Plenty of other retailers (including LEGO Shop at Home) manage it.

Argos seems to have got alot stricter as of late. I ordered 3 of someone on black Friday and they cancelled one. Another retailer reducing there limits, yay for us.

The same reason why 5 of the 6 items I ordered are going back due to having holes in the box, open seals and so on. They're completely incompetant.

defo getting harder to get quantities of anything, multiple accounts, multiple addresses is the only way, amazon limit of 1 is crippling really.

the 20 that was cancelled, was across multiple accounts, but the delivery sets all arrived, only the click & collect was cancelled.

a change of plan going forward will be needed my end if these slim limits stay enforce.

Amazon limit has been ridiculous this Christmas, limit 1 has been annoying for even the regular buyer. John Lewis is the best remaining retailer out there that still seems to not care about purchase limits. How long before that changes I wonder.

Things really have changed. Before my time, some on here would buy pallets of 99 modulars direct from LEGO Shop at Home.

Got to agree on that, my last Argos set  was delivered in no cardboard box or even a bag. Address label slapped on the sets box and two seals open. Even the courier driver was surprised.

I’m never buying from them ever again.

I wonder if the production problems at Lego is filtering down the line to retailers now & they decided to limit multiples.

This is why Amazon are taking over the world. They aren't great but, they're much better than the majority of the competition. I try to spread my money around but I end up regretting it more often than not.

Agree, after finding the “Gift” trick for free to ensure items always turn up in a box I’m swaying towards Amazon. Also their returns policy is outstanding!

Brickheadz Reindeer, Elf and Elfie currently £10 on Amazon (limit 1). That's on Santa's retiring list.

Nice spot, shame limited to one per account. Now trying to find another BH to get it up to £20

I do not live anywhere near any Asda store so £10 delivered with something else is fine by me.

I see uk sets ordered from lego uk are still coming from the chocolate factory, do we have to pay import duties etc now on larger sets?

No, I believe that it is the seller that must pay UK VAT (rather than to their own government). My order from the 1st still seems to be stuck in transit, with no update since the 13th. This is also going to make the Bricklink orders I need to do a right pain in the backside - who knows how long some orders will take?

same here, nothing from my 1st ordered yet. looks like john lewis is starting to get stock again

Orders from the 1st seem inconsistent. 2 of the order I made have arrived but other 4 are in Belgian limbo.

Same here as well - ordered 1st Jan, then an email on 13th Jan confirming possible delay until 31st Jan, followed by a shipping notification a couple hours later.... and then total crickets.

Comments on Brickset seem to indicate that this is very widespread.  I wonder if they've decided to hold them in Belgium to free up the LEGO warehouse(s).  First world problems but it's getting rather ridiculous - how can it take this amount of time to deliver a box?
