One Day Flash Sale (UK Only) MF at £149.99. Be Quick.

  • One thing I have noticed is that sets are plateauing at "a" price at n months after retiring. 10197 is around £300, it still has not increased in the 18 months since I sold my last one. 10211

  • Though this version totally blows the original away (and is from around where I live):

50 percent only as I'm not keen on holding the bigger sets. Money better spent elsewhere

I went for Diners and Treehouses. Won't hold my breath waiting for 50% off either of those. I agree that smaller sets are much more practical but this is decent in-price and good to have variety

Quick question, to those with a fair few of las Vegas's. I recently received a shipment from iwoot and the boxes are all quite scratched/scuffed could this just be due to the black showing the marks up more and what's happens in the manufacturing process. I would say that nearly every box isn't perfect however the boxes aren't old stock and Lego themselfs have sent me similar boxes. Anyone else confirm whether or not this is normal or should I be complaining.

My shipment from The Hut looks similar. A couple of mine have creases etc from transit but I will accept that as a cost given I got a large order of a retiring soon set below MRSP. I think it does show up more on the black boxes, but higher likelihood to end up like this from certain retailers. I don't think it is manufacturing as most architecture boxes direct from LEGO are in perfect condition.

I find it difficult to complain about scuffs/scratches though (retailers are not advertising mint boxes) and not sure what difference the box condition will make in the end. I don't sell anything as "mint" because so easy for someone to complain that it isn't. These are still new and sealed and that is good enough for 99% of buyers. Just my view, but keep the best if you want to sell a few based on box condition and doubt you will have any problems with the rest.

It's inevitable that you'll get some dodgy boxes with the Architecture line. I got some scuffed sets when ordering a factory carton. I can't fault the retailer in this case so that was solely on Lego's design decisions.

it's you.

I realised amazon.es doesn't show me the 'real price' when I am logged in, i have to go incognito before the correct prices show up.

Is this something that's being implemented by amazon maybe due to christmas being round the corner, or is this something lego have asked them to do?

Thinking about it though limit of 1 can't be right it must be an error. I could understand maybe 2 or 3 limit but not 1

It certainly didn't happen last two years, as far as I recall limits of 1 may be imposed when there are deep discounts or on the rarer sets. Even on the prime day sales, you can hit 6 for certain sets.

Diner back in stock at LEGO UK website in case anyone interested. Max 2. No GWP so presume they have already sold out of the robots.

Is this the cheapest we've seen for the MF so far - www.hotukdeals.com/deals/lego-star-wars-75192-ultimate-collector-series-millennium-falcon-ps50999-with-code-at-john-lewis-partners-3568503

I don't like the set for investment but, I want to get it for a personal build at some point. Any opinions on whether or not we'll see a better price?

Certainly cheapest I’ve seen. Cheaper than when Smyths do £10 off £50

To all the UK members out there. Where does everyone get there boxes from that would fit the sort of size of a great hall? Really struggling to find boxes that aren't insanely expensive or just too big. I used to get them from lil packaging but there out of stock of the ones I want. Generally looking for 600x500x100 size or thereabouts. There is some websites that have similar ones but there a lot per box. Looking at around 2-3 quid atm per box but that seems steep or is the norm for the bigger more custom ones. Any help would be appreciated.

I buy custom boxes from ASC Direct. Generally come to about £1.30 each. Not the cheapest but they are sturdy and fit the set perfectly if you get the dimensions correct when ordering. ASC chuck in a free roll of parcel tape with every 25 boxes as well.

Thanks for that. That's a really good price actually. Are they quite a new company as I don't see many reviews for them?

Not sure how old they are. I've used them twice without any major issues. The edges on the flaps can be a bit wonky occasionally but nothing that isn't easy to fix.
