One Day Flash Sale (UK Only) MF at £149.99. Be Quick.

  • One thing I have noticed is that sets are plateauing at "a" price at n months after retiring. 10197 is around £300, it still has not increased in the 18 months since I sold my last one. 10211

  • Though this version totally blows the original away (and is from around where I live):

Is it worth waiting for this to be reduced somewhere?

Do you think it'll do well at retirement?

I have a second one reserved and am deciding whether to pick it up or not. It's a bit set to store.

Had been thinking 1 to build and 1 to keep boxed.

I 100% think it will be a great set for investment, maybe just a little to early in its lifespan for me though.

Haha! Bargainous. I got myself an extra one.

Still can't decide what to do with the reserved Jurassic Park set 😆

Has anybody in the UK used a 15% and 20% John Lewis code more than once over the last few days? If so, is there a "creative" way of resetting it? 😉

Compete with the other £1 FVFers on eBay and you'll make enough profit to pay for the box, bubble-wrap and shipping 😉

The majority of people shouldn't be using £1 final value fees as they should be registered as businesses. If there not registered as that on ebay I doubt there paying taxes. I have since day one declared myself as a business on both ebay and hmrc and it really annoys me that others are taking advantage of all these promos. Ebay and hmrc should be watching out more for these people as it really hurts those who do it by the book.

Do you sell a lot on ebay?

I've read that HMRC are looking at sites like ebay more and more for resellers.

Just had a quick look and there are a few more on there now since the Argos offer!

I'd be looking for one to keep in the box and one to open and build. Might be a bit extravagant. 🤪

Sometimes, and all profits and losses go on my tax return.

In classic Argos style, the box makes it look like they've been playing catch with it in the stockroom.

Join the club..... Assuming that's JLP, they've gone really downhill since the first lockdown and I've had to return nearly everything. The latest is me rejecting the 5 10277 Crocs and 5 21317 SBW that I was collecting from Waitrose this morning. The 3 Croc boxes were soaking wet and the 5 SBW were all loose in a huge grey "bin bag" - totally unacceptable! I have more to collect later in the week, but I'm not going to bother. They also use Hermes a lot which is another poor sign.

It was Argos - wife picked it up yesterday and I took it back this afternoon.

When I took it back, the assistant snipped through the seals and opened up the box to check the contents 🤪

My last John Lewis purchase was Assembley Square and it had a nice big ding in it. Kept it as it was a good price and a set i really wanted. Expect better from them, though!
